speedrun is cm/prae/wp, you will have trouble doing these if you dont wanna speedrun, but besides that its fine, and i havn't done any of those for over a month, so you can avoid speedruns 100% once you've done it for a week or two

People do try to speed run the lower level dungeons, though. Leveling monk, I got a Toto-Rak run once where the paladin just ran past several mobs while flashing, and we'd finally stop when there like 5 or 6 mobs to burn. The problem with that was that both DPS were melee. Dragoon doesn't have AoE in Toto-Rak and the monk AoE at that level isn't efficient for burning down that many mobs. I already didn't like Toto-Rak but that was easily the worst experience I've had in there.

Its definitely a double edged sword for me. On one hand I enjoy just playing through content as intended, but sometimes the monotony of running the same few dungeons ends up making you want to speed run. But now with all the ways to get your tokens it seems like I don't see speed runs as often. That being said, people in roulettes should never be forcing speed runs or being angry about not doing it. I usually ask if people want to do one, and if not we just go regular (I tank). If people are joining a roullete or DF you should have a low expectation and not be angry when players using it need some extra help or time.

I enjoy 17 minute wp or hakku hm. Fast enough to be interesting but not so fast that it is hectic. My brother usually tanks as a war (with dps jewelry in hakku) and I use blm for hakku, blm or whm for wp. Since we are
Always together we are good at working out what pulls we are comfortable with and have a lot of fun together. My point is that the op would benefit from finding another player or two who likes going at the same pace as him and queuing together. Also that speed runs can be fun to learn and execute with the right people.
