Is nobody excited for the Ifrit battle?

Considering we know nothing about it, how can we be excited without pure speculation? And that obviously leads to disappointment.

Would be kinda cool for battle positioning would play a role during the battle. Like if Ifrit would do a flame move (Hellfire/Inferno?) and make the entire battlefield into a flaming magic circle/pentagram that slowly rotates and the party has to keep moving to avoid touching the flames until it fades away. Mix it up with different attack patterns and have the ground turn red and eventually erupt spewing flame pillars/lava on certain spots of the battle area.

Probably sounds dumb lol what would anyone else wanna see?

Truthfully compared to the idea of fighting Ifrit if Yoshi would have shown a 60 second youtube video of a person riding a chocobo up to an auction house and dismounting and going up and buying something I woulda been waaaaaaaaaay more excited than fighting Ifrit.

I'm more curious about the story first. Why are we fighting him, what are we proving, what do we get out of it?

I've been wondering about this as well. Does it fit in at all? All we can call it right now is just "the Ifrit battle". That makes it seem pretty generic and honestly has me worried. To reference the almighty FFXI, avatar fights there were pretty engrained in the overarching story. I hope among all things that this time its not just fan-service.

It's just one fight. How long will it last? What will be the rewards etc.?

It's hard to get excited about a boss fight when there's more important, basic, aspects of the game that are still broken.

I just think it's a pretty big content implementation that's why I was curious. Yeah, its just one fight but..
if a good chunk of story was added before it (...we'll see about that..) then it would be very worthy of an
addition to worry about.

I think a video of cutscene of some battlishness would be pretty awesome. Obv not giving anything away.
