[Hotbar & Keybinds] Can different hotbars share the same keybinds?

Hello all.

I am having issues with my hotbars. I would like to set Hotbars 1-3 for solo use, and Hotbars 4-6 for party use. I have done the following: -

1. Copying Hotbar 1 as Hotbar 4, Hotbar 2 as Hotbar 5, and Hotbar 3 as Hotbar 6;
2. Setting Hotbar 1 to Hotbar 4 by enabling cycling button;
3. Displaying Hotbars 5 & 6.

Hotbar 4 is working as intended and the game recognises it as a Hotbar different from Hotbar 1. However, Hotbars 5-6 are not working correctly. I have removed 1 macro from Hotbar 6 (previously copied from Hotbar 3), and it now displays as a blank button (which is correct). However, when I use my keybind (defaulted to Alt-6), the macro is still 'working' as though Hotbar 3 is the one in use.

How should I go about fixing this to make them work as intended and using the same keybinds, eg. Hotbar 1 & 4 will share the same keybinds as Hotbar 1, etc?

You can't make two hotbars use the same set of hotkeys. What you can do is set up a macro to swap your two sets of bars back and forth, so that the solo set occupies bars 1-3, then the party set occupies bars 1-3, then vice versa again.

Let's assume you're talking about SMN bars. And let's also assume you're not using bar 7 for anything. If you are, change all the "SMN 7"s in here to something you aren't using (such as BTN 6, if you're not using Botanist bar 6).

It occurs to me you may not be understanding what copying a hotbar does. Copying a hotbar 3 to hotbar 6 just places the skills/macros/items that are currently in hotbar 3 into hotbar 6. It doesn't tie those hotbars together in any way, and it doesn't change keybindings. It's just a shortcut for manually dragging all the same things into the same places on another bar.

In your example, hotbar 3 is the one in use. Making bars visible or invisible also doesn't change anything other than their visibility. Keys bound to hotbar 3 will activate items on hotbar 3.

Hello! Thank you for replying. Yeah I'm still confused about how copying a hotbar really works.

Based on what you just typed, is it possible for me to get macros/skills working differently based on what you typed? Are those supposed to work as 1 macro or do I just manually type it in in the chatbox? What should I see after typing the list?

My intention is to change some of the macros so that I don't have to switch out my target but still able to do some damage on my target's target.

You put all those lines in one macro, which you put in the same spot on bar 1 & 4 or 2 & 5 or 3 & 6. When you use that macro, bars 1 through 3 swap between your party set and your solo set.

So let's say your party set is currently "active" on 1-3, and thus activated by 1-3's keybinds, and your solo set is on 4-6, invisible and not activated by any keybinds. You use that macro, and your solo and party sets swap places. Now your party set is on 4-6, invisible and inactive, and your solo set is on 1-3, activated by 1-3's keybinds.
