I doubt they'll be balance to be "easier". They are just going to balance them so that they make sense with the new DoL/H system since if the process is faster then it would be "easier" to obtain with certain requirements which means they'll have to increase the amount of cuts needed to obtain. However, if gathering minigame turns into more of a concept in which you are in more control over the items you receive and do less cuts over time then they may lower to requirements to show that.

First one is some joke JP guys started making from one of the interviews SE had and 2nd one is JP players joked about FF13's story being so confusing. Funny that SE knows people joking about this stuff and bringing it up themselves lol
