    Both slot costs and recipes were slated for 1.20-1.21 according to the last Letter From the Producer. Hopefully that means exactly what Estellios said, we'll get it in one of the a/b patches.

    Oops, spoke too soon... Alchemy in 1.21 and accessory recipes in 1.21 as well.

    However right now when you move the spell is planned to be cancelled instantly.
    After when moving the character and stopping you will be able to cast a new spell instantly. (There will be a 0.3sec lag from movement seen in general MMO)


    また、別途詠唱中断用のキーは作りますので、移動で魔法詠唱が中断されるのは、
    詠唱中断する方法の追加が目的なわけではありません。
    Also we are going to make a key (keyboard key) for another method to cancel spell so moving to cancel spell cast is not the reason we're adding this.

    この処理はサーバLagが原因ではなく、ご指摘の通りクライアントプログラムの「仕様」です。
    「サーバからの応答を演出遅延させることなく、即時UIに反映していること」によるものです。
    This is going to get side tracked but wanted to talk about this some day.
    This isn't due to the server lag but like you mentioned it's setup this way on the client program. It's due to "Having the UI reflect instantly without delay from server"


    吉田も就任後に演出同期に変えるよう指示を出し、既に修正はパッチ1.17で行ってあります。
    が、QAチームから「回復がし難くなった」「ストレスに感じる」という声が非常に多く、
    かなり迷ったのですが、パッチには実装せず、現在も処理をマスクしてあります。
    After I took my position I instructed to change this and we already have this from patch 1.17 but from QA team we have heard many voices such as "It became harder to cure" "Feel stress" and we thought about this for a while but decided not to release in the patch and currently have this masked.

    For 2.0 it will be implemented as I planned but for current should we implement this at early timing?

    この実装を行うことで「今のダイレクトな実装に比べ、むしろ遅延しているように感じる」ことになります。
    なぜなら演出同期とは、サーバからの結果と演出を同期させるために、
    UIなどの結果に対して、ウェイトを入れることに他ならないからです。
    最初から同期されていれば問題なかったのですが、そうではなかったため、
    パッチ1.17当時は、ストレスが増すことを考え、実装を見送り、依然マスクされています。
    By making this implementation it will feel more delay rather than direct. Because to make both happen at same time it will require to obtain results from server then performing and requires to add waiting. If this was how it was from the beginning it wouldn't of been a problem but since it wasn't that way at patch 1.17 we though it will increase the amount of stress and didn't implement and masked.

    こちらもご意見ありましたら、お聞かせ頂けると嬉しく思います。

    It's kinda odd for them to be using the word "mask" to mean, what I think based on context, commenting code out. It looks like they developed code to make it so that what you see happening physically in game to sync up with what you're seeing in the battle log, but actually chose to comment it out, fearing that it would actually piss players off.

    I personally would've wanted them to implement that now. It's pissing ME off that I can't rely on looking at what's going on graphically on my screen to tell me what's really going on. The actions don't match up so I sometimes forget that I can't trust one or the other to give me an accurate depiction of the current situation.

    He basically mentions about patch release date and the upcoming Christmas event and as for the part that was causing the bug - they will be continue checking from the server end and seeing if there will be a problem again, if no problem it will be released as is but if bug comes up again by patch release timing they will release the patch on 12/16 (JP) and it may be possible that they will stop part of the market feature until end of weekend.

    At least we're getting the patch and hopefully the bug fix they put in the first time took care of it without them stopping the new upcoming market feature. (personally don't care too much about the market buy since we got the stupid 5% tax) ** talk about that on the other thread lol **

    Not too much JP players happy about this post from the Rep.
    Thread talks about Uldah's new GC gear which has crafting skill up (pants/shoes) which Limsa/Gridania doesn't have and they are saying YoshiP promised it wont affect which country you chose and this kind issue popped up.

    Also for bow for Limsa/Gridania/Uldah - although if you look at the damage value Uldah's one looks strong but for DPS there isn't much difference.

    Basically JP players saw this post and some are pissed off that Rep said "released in future" if you know from FFXI when they say "In future" it can be months later which just puts that other city in lead and unlike FFXI you can spend more GC points on other cities to try and obtain so that isn't helping that rep post either, they also saying for the bow even though the Damage value is different and wont affect much on the DPS but how about damage on WS? stuff like that..

    gonna say again... *start a new thread about this one if there isn't any to talk about this one*

    #2 is a really good idea - sort of a "dev tracker" but meant purely for people who want to read over the mile long length of patch notes.

    #1, I didn't know that reps posted in such a "formal" manner in the JP forums. What's good to hear that the JP are adapting practices of the Western reps.
