apolo started a thread regarding giving special favors for party leaders such as giving bonuses to party leader (which imo is kind of dumb... you going to have everyone wanting to be PT leaders by doing that...anyways) he/she also asked everyone to post their comments on what favors party leaders should get and people responded with the basics such as PT Leader being able to join/divide a party into groups or being able to decide on loot distribution. Rep responded as following:
Good Evening Everyone.
Thank you for all the ideas for giving favor to party leader!
Within those ideas those features that should already be in such as:
Party Structure (Combine, Divide, Kick) feature
Can decide on how the item loot will be distributed
The dev team also knows these type of features are needed and are looking into this. But please understand that these party structure or loot distribution rules involves repairing battles, therefore it will be released (worked on) after the battle modifications.
Raika started a thread about raising pets, gardening, summons and any other ideas people had and Rep responded with the following![]()
Pet, Gardening, Fish Farming. Summon like raising system ideas thread.
Raising a pet that you can go out with.
Making a robot that can fight in battles (like FFXI puppet master)
Like FF10 or FF12 where your summoned avatar fights for you.
Gardener being able to grow your own vegetables in a garden.
Fisher being able to raising fish in a fish pond (fish farming)
Miner being able to raising cobran in the mountain
Hello,
I have asked Yoshida Producer regarding implementation of pets, he is thinking of 2 methods for this.
One being pets where you can raise pets and ride such as Chocobo.
Another being pets where certain jobs can control (probably like BST from FFXI)
They are looking into it so they can implement both features and not only one. But for now we are not at a point where we can give more information, so for now first with Chocobo in 1.19 patch and if you could please wait.
Thx again Reinheart.
I feel the comments kinda hint that we'll be able to raise and/or make chocobos progress in some way or another.
Probably since it was slightly based around VII's with the XI implementation so they literally have 2 types of systems to build on for this go around.
Raising your own chocobo would be a great addition and add a nice flavor that is desperately needed. Also, they could add all sorts of chocobo-related gear that crafters could make that would add more variability to chocobo appearance/stats.
I really really hope they're more than just mounts because the whole reason they've been holding them back is to make them more than just that, or at least that's what they've been saying.
Yes like subligar for my chocobo... with different color variations.
You know on facebook they have that chocobo raising game; maybe some gears like that for body, feet. (head/beak seems too much)
They could really do some cool stuff with chocobo gear. But I imagine it won't be implemented for a long time (full raising system with gear) given the need to make the system then create all the gear models, craft recipes, institute new items, etc. Just introducing chocobos would be a good start though lol.
Just one more thought. They should make riding/renting chocobos expensive as hell (need more gil sinks, and it would be somewhat replacing/augmenting the anima system). So should have a hefty cost.
