can't be all on that though, right? lol Or else he really had a lot to say on that subject. He did warn people that his next post will be very long.
Edit: Although the mention of PL seems to come back a lot throughout the post.
done, didn't go over the 10k text limit... woo... now the mini YoshiP post translations...
meh need to finish up some work before i work on the other mini posts brb
Apparently it's mainly about PL for this one since it's been big discussion on the JP side, I'm liking YoshiP's answer overall but then again like he said there may be those that may disagree
So hes saying that PL wont be a big deal because the XP cap will remain at 10 levels above. That makes sense, but its also hindering strategy and innovation for SP parties since there is no benefit to challenging yourself on higher mobs beyond 10 ranks. I had always hoped that the 10rank cap would be removed, but it seems like its definitely staying there now.
Also, this does not address how this claiming system can be used for griefing (we need more details on how the hate table is going to work).
Yeah me too. I mean really who cares if people wants to PL friends or if people would like to be PL'ed by friends. It's up the the player's choice to decide if he wants to enjoy a slower but maybe more rewarding leveling curve or a fast leveling.
They want the game to be more end-game focused, although I liked the FFXI's way of taking very long to get to 75 with lots of content while getting there, most people like to be max level fast and do the end-game content. So why not? There are other ways to prevent RMT than not allowing PL.
To summarize, I think it's up to the player's choice to decide if they wish to have someone PL them or not.

Lvl 14-21 in 5 min with exp chain #110 - WOOT! LOL
Post #2 from YoshiP today.
連投ですが「レベル格差PTとレベルシンク」については、
Another post but regarding "Level difference PT and level sync"
・コンテンツ突入時にレベルシンクを行うシステム
・同レベル帯のプレイヤーとPTを手軽に編成するシステム
system where it level syncs when entering a content,
system where it's easier to PT with same level range.
With these two it should solve a lot, we are working on the methods.
We are currently thinking of making as much possible adjustments to PT invitation method since we are thinking a large-scale system and because the implementation timing is far off. Will announce this one at another time, please wait.
ちなみにレベルシンクは「レベルシンク用の装備枠が!」とセットなので、
そちらも頭には入っています。
Also for level sync "Equipment set for level sync!" is a set so that's also there.

Only problem with XI was, with the exception of CoP which forced level caps, if you weren't 75 you weren't welcomed to come along. That was my experience anyway.I liked the FFXI's way of taking very long to get to 75 with lots of content while getting there
I like that they're putting the decision in the hands of the player. It's the way it should be.
Plus, this allows them to focus on end game and to cater to the folks that have been here for a year.
All in all, it seems like they have the right way of thinking. There's no reason to make the game all about some arbitrary slow grind when they can spend their time designing fun, engagig and difficult encounters.
Yup I agree and I too like the way it's headed and the fact that it's the player's decision how they wish to level, I just had a little nostalgia of my old FFXI days a long time ago. For me though I thought there was a lot of things to do up to 75, and I wasn't put aside for any rank/cop/ToAU missions when I met the rank to do it.Only problem with XI was, with the exception of CoP which forced level caps, if you weren't 75 you weren't welcomed to come along. But that is off-topic and was not really the point of my post ^^
After reading what Bay posted today... don't want anyone to get anyone in trouble (if anyone did) so I'll stop posting stuff from NA side on JP side for a bit... Like I said in other threads in the past, I'm pretty sure reps got the info and delivered to the dev team, just wish there was a way for players to know it got sent or thread got read, with all these threads I know it's going to be hell for the Reps + might cause some people to pop up and say my thread didn't get read by the reps, bump, bump, bump, bump... I'll just stick to posting JP rep responses in here. Kind of feel bad if I caused any problems for the translation i posted on the JP side.
Just to make sure what I post in here is just my translations, it's nothing officially translated and could have parts I miss-translated so I think should wait up till NA reps gets official info before going all out on some threads imo.
