    Nope, apparently the invitiations were sent out on the 3rd as per FFXIV_JP account on twitter, and we have confirmation from others statinig that their friends received the invitations for alpha. This quote above was posted after that twitter post and as Rane and I translated on the other thread, the devs are saying "It will depend on the rate of simulataneous connections but we are planning on increase the alpha testers on 12/5 (JST)"

    They have been posting the tweets on the invitations being sent out around midnight to 1AM (PST), so maybe it will happen around the same time.
