    Rep Response - 05/23/12 1.22aHotFixes Ability modification details

    Today's HotFix going to have the scheduled action changes planned for 1.22b and here's the details Triairy posted.

    I'll fix up the ability names for the ones that's wrong since JP and NA has different naming on some I have to look it up.

    • 弓術士/吟遊詩人についてWS発動時、「ショット」にリキャストが発生するようになります。
      Archer/Bard - after using a weapon skill now there will be recast time for 'Shot'
    • 詠唱中、盾によるブロックが発動するようになり、ブロック成功時に詠唱が中断されなくなります。
      When casting now you can block with a shield and when the block is succeeded spell wont be interrupted
    • アクション/特性について、以下の調整が行われます。
      Adjust ments to action / specifics will change as below:

      ≪格闘士≫
      Puglist
      • コンカシブブロー
        Concusive Blow
        • コンボボーナスの効果が引き上げられます。
          The effect of combo bonus will be increased
      • ヘイメーカー
        Hay Maker
        • 物理攻撃の威力が引き上げられます。
          Physical damage effect will be increased
      • オーラパルス
        Aura Pulse
        • 物理攻撃の威力が引き上げられます。
          Physical damage effect will be increased

        • コンボボーナスの効果が引き上げられます。

          "Renders you impervious to physical attacks."

          to
          "Renders you impervious to all attacks except for few exceptions"


      ≪斧術士≫
      Marauder

      • バーサク
        Berserk
        • 物理攻撃力アップの効果が引き上げられます。
          Physical damage up effect will be increased
        • 物理防御力ダウンの効果が引き上げられます。
          Physical defense down effect will be increased
      • ランページ
        Rampage
        • [効果中、物理攻撃を受ける度に攻撃速度と物理防御力をアップし、自身の攻撃がクリティカルするとHP回復の効果。] → [効果中、物理攻撃を受ける度に攻撃速度と受け流しをアップし、自身の攻撃がクリティカルするとHP回復の効果。]に効果が変更されます。
          Effect will be changed from
          "Increases your attack speed and power for each physical attack against you, and restores HP for each critical hit you land."

        • 効果の減衰速度が速くなります。
          Effects fading rate will be faster
      • ワールウィンド
        Whirlwind
        • [自身のHPが半分以下の場合、全TPを消費してダメージアップ] → [バーサク中は効果がリセットされる代わりにダメージアップ。]にコンボボーナスの効果が変更されます。
          Effect of combo bonus will be changed from
          "Consumes TP to increase damage when you are below 50% HP."

          to
          "While in berserk mode the effect will be reset but damage will increase"


      ≪戦士≫
      Warrior
      • コルーション
        Collusion
        • [対象としたパーティメンバーの次の攻撃による敵視を肩代わりする。] → [対象としたパーティメンバーの次の攻撃による敵視の一部を肩代わりする。]に効果が変更されます。
          Effect will be changed from
          "Redirects enmity generated by target party member's next attack to you."

          to
          "Redirects part or enmity generated by target party member's next attack to you"
      • スチールサイクロン
        Steel Cyclone
        • 消費TPが 2000 → 1000 に変更されます。
          TP usage will be changed from 2000 to 1000
        • 物理範囲攻撃の威力が引き下げられます。
          Physical attack range will be decreased
        • ランページによるダメージアップ量が引き下げられます。
          Effect of damage up from Rampage will be decreased


      ≪槍術士≫
      Lancer

      • ボーパルスラスト
        Vorpal Thrust
        • 「命中にペナルティ」の効果が削除されます。
          Effect of low accuracy penalty will be removed
      • インパルスドライヴ
        Impulse Drive
        • 「命中にペナルティ」の効果が削除されます。
          Effect of low accuracy penalty will be removed
      • 竜剣
        Life Surge
        • 効果時間が、60秒 → 180秒に変更されます。
          Effect time will be changed from 60 seconds to 180 seconds
      • 竜槍
        Power Surge
        • [TPを消費して自身に物理攻撃力アップ、被ダメージアップ。3回まで効果は蓄積。竜剣とは同時に使えない。] → [自身に物理攻撃力アップ、物理防御力ダウン。対象にウェポンスキルもしくはジャンプを使用した場合、効果時間延長。更にその回数が一定数を超えると効果 アップ(Max:3段階)。竜剣とは同時に使えない。再発動で効果終了。] に効果が変更されます。
          Effect will be changed from
          "Consumes TP to increase your attack power and damage you sustain, up to a maximum of three stacks. Cannot be used simultaneously with Life Surge."

          to
          "Increases own physical damage, decreases physical defense. When using weapon skill or jump at target it will increase the effect time. Also when effect stack the effect is increased (three stacks maximum). Cannot be used simultaneously with Life Surge" Reuse of ability will end the effect"
          (Gonna work like stance in puglist/monk from how it sounds)

        • リキャストタイムが 30秒 → 10秒 に変更されます。
          Recast time will be changed from 30 seconds to 10 seconds
        • TPを消費しなくなります。
          It will no longer consume TP
      • 桜華狂咲
        Chaos Thrust
        • [対象に物理6回攻撃。命中にペナルティ。] → [対象に物理6回攻撃。物理クリティカルダメージにボーナス。] に効果が変更されます。

        Jump
        • [対象にジャンプで近づきつつ攻撃し、攻撃後は元の位置に戻る。] → [物理攻撃を回避しつつ対象にジャンプで近づき攻撃し、攻撃後は元の位置に戻る。] に効果が変更されます。
          Effect will be change from
          " Delivers a jumping attack, returning you to your original position after the attack is made."

          to
          "Will evade a physical attack while delivering a jumping attack and returning you to your original position"


      ≪白魔道士≫
      White Mage

        Benediction
        • 効果範囲が拡大されます。
          The effect range will be increased

    Thanks for the info!

    I'm really glad to see Monk / Dragoon getting some love. I hope this makes both of them more viable and desired.

    The Paladin changes seem... underwhelming. At first Hallowed Ground (Invincible) sounded good (to block ALL types of attacks), until they added the crappy "with some exceptions" caveat in there.

    Besides that, if it's really just keeping the same HP from GLA -> PLD, and increasing some damage for 2 Weaponskills... I don't think that's going to make PLD a desired tank for all current Dungeons / Raids.

    We'll see soon.

    Gotta test it out for sure, as for the exceptions guessing it's for like the super moves the mobs/primals uses.

    If it makes you feel any better FFXI's PLD had a 2hr called Invincible that could only block physical attacks, magical attacks could still do damage to them, so it wasn't very Invincible now was it XD.

    I do think the changes to PLD this time are greater that it will make them more viable tanks, but ya it's definitely a wait and see how things turn out. It looks good on paper so hopefully it does give a nice balance to all the current classes.
