I'm going to be real frank here... but a count down timer created just because some people want to synchronize the /pose command seems like a somewhat poor use of the development team considering there are larger issues to deal with. I looked thru the original thread and honestly that's what it seemed to be about. Just so people could use /pose and take screen shots. I see some use for the command... but the reason it being created (/pose synchronizing) is just silly.

Things like /countdown are easy to add of course. Including a description of an NPC's services below or above the name of the NPC isn't so easy. So they just put the Kanji describing these services at the start of the NPC's name. But this only exists in the Japanese language client.

The other languages would have to split the names of NPCs into two lines. One for the name and one the description. I do not even think they are aware that this helpful text is absent from the roman character clients.

If someone had asked them why they haven't fixed this so all clients have one line for the name and one line for it's purpose, they'd say it wouldn't be possible. "NPCs can't have multiple names." Why wouldn't using 「\n」 (or 「¥n」 since the half width character ¥ replaces \ on Japanese keyboards) in the name and treating it as a hard wrap (newline) character.

Other solutions exist. Like using graphical icons next to NPC's names in the same way PCs show Linkshell, Bazaar Status, etc. This would be an optimal solution. But it's not as specific as the existing Kanji (though you'd not have to remove the Kanji from the name).

These images show how the JPN client vs. the EN/FR/GE clients...
