Here's some Q/A JP Rep answered regarding up coming PC search system.

皆さん、こんばんは。
Good evening everyone,

PCサーチに関していくつかのご質問にお答えいたします。
Going to answer some of the questions asked about PC search.

個人的な懸念点としては、検索した際の職の表記が「GLA」や「PLD」なんて半角ローマ字の３文字表記になるのではないかというところです。
Personally my concern is when you search the display will be abbreviated in english GLA or PLD (hard for some JP's to know which is which class)

検索条件を設定する画面では、Configの言語設定が日本語の場合、
クラスは「剣術士」「裁縫師」など日本語で表示されます。
そして検索結果が表示される画面では、アイコンで表示されます。
For search condition setting screen if your configuration language settings is set to Japanese it will display the class in Japanese and for search result screen the class will be displayed with icons.

1. 任意指定のエリアをサーチできる (狩場の混雑度を知るため)
Can search the optional area (to know how congested the camp is)
2. 各PCはサーチコメントをつける (いろいろ用途あります、PT参加希望から狩場状態の知らせなど)
Each individual PC can enter search comment (Like requesting for invite, or can tell others how the camp situation looks like)
3. 各種条件で絞れるようにしてほしい (Lv別、ジョブ別、コメント目的別)
Can be narrowed down with multiple conditions (Lv, Job, Comment)
4. /away設定したPCはサーチ結果から見分けるようにしてほしい (いまのLSリストやフレリストでは出来なかった)
Can see which PC players have /away on (current LS list of Friend List can't)
5. サーチウィンドウから直接PCを誘えるようにしてほしい (フレンドリストのように)
Can invite directly from search window (like how Friend List works)

1. はい、任意のエリアを指定してサーチが可能で、複数のエリアを指定することもできます。
   Yes, you can search areas and can also search multiple areas as well.
2. はい、自由にサーチコメントを入力することができます。
   Yes, you can enter comment freely
3. 現在のところ、レベル／クラス／オンラインステータス／エリア／所属GC／言語で絞り込みが行える予定です。
   Currently we're planning to have Level/Class/OnlineStatus/Area/EnlistedGC/Language
4. こちらは最終調整中のため、現時点でお答えできません。
   We can't answer this one yet since we're going through final modifications.
5. はい、サーチウィンドウから直接PTに誘うことができます。
   Yes, you can directly invite from the search window.
