Your partner in main story got weaker after 1.19 and keeps on dying fast so devs are fixing this issue with next maintenance.

This is regarding your partner’s level is low and dies fast after patch 1.19 (main story partner)
This was due to partners level was based off of the PC’s physical level which doesn’t exist any more.
For this one we will have a maintenance on 11/17 (JP time) to address this issue.

なお、修正後は相棒が登場するコンテンツ（インスタンス）に入った時点の、
PCの現クラスのレベルが参照されるようになります。
After repair changes the partner’s level will be based on PC’s current class level when entering the content (instance)
