Would be nice if they did hire me to make my childhood dream come true (to work for square soft) lol but I now know how hard it is to do the official translations... mines nothing like theirs so I doubt that's possible

I'm just doing mines for fun so it's all good, just need to make sure others know mines is not 100% accurate sometimes... don't want to cause any unnecessary problems.

At least YoshiP mentioned me in his post in the past, that was nice enough for me + if my translations can help players/devs in any way to make [Final Fantasy] better it's all good

Or being able to cast your fishing line out to a specific spot (like around driftwood or large gatherings of insects on the water's surface) and then drinking some beer while waiting for a bite and then reeling it in - awesome.

If FF14's fishing was a direct rip off of SEGA Bass Master or the fishing mini game from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, I would so do it all the time.

As of now, I avoid it like the plague. It's just so boring and monotonous.

Same... if it was like those games or other fishing games I like playing I can enjoy playing in FF14... I did till 30 just for the subligar and to help out on my alchemy for later on but the fishing in FF14 and even FF11 was boring as hell.... wish fishing, mining, botany had their own individual mini-games.

Fishing they were talking about having a scoreboard on who fished biggest and whatever but had to work on that type of system also to make that possible and really didn't get into details about the actual fishing.

more sport type fishing would be an INCREDIBLE minigame... with sizes and whatnot... wow.... I'd like that

Aye, they do have to flesh out both DoH and DoL if they want to ride on that main class philosophy (which I hope they do). More things for DoL to do and leaderboards sound like a good idea.

I'm glad that JP's are focusing on the real issues instead of thinking more mounts are a bad thing. Sucks for the dev team though, two different demographics to appease pretty much.

I agree. Another way they could let you experience the main storyline is give you your Path Companion sooner, maybe random accomplices that come out to help and change the quests just a little bit as far as objectives go to where they are protecting you while you grab something, and the echo scenario/cutscenes can stay the same for the most part.

Actually Playstation Move has a gun peripheral. But nothing will top the days of zappers and power gloves.

for the JP side G6 nodes and treasure maps wont be enough, they want devs to actually change the whole system for Fishing YoshiP said something that they are working on it, but haven't said anything about Miner or Botanist.

JP side has people saying that they bought the game since the package says you can enjoy the game by playing these other class and just because YoshiP came in it all became fighting/battle related. Same with me I started the game this time for 14 as Miner to see how the game plays out as non battle class in a MMORPG but already knew it was going to end up as sub-class so didn't really mind it... but I guess for some they really really don't like/want to play battle class lol

Same here, I've started 14 as miner because I was lured by promises of independent content that we could enjoy. This is my only gripe with Yoshi. I was looking forward to DOL/DOH being well rounded classes rather than a hobby on the side. Pissed me of that he scraped them because I though it was going to be something unique that would separate 14 from other MMOs.
