This is old rep response before I started this thread, saw thread about map markers and remembered JP side had response so looked it up and found it so I'll just add it in here for anyone else that might be looking for this info. It's from June 02 so I'll stick it in the old section on the OP.

Checked with the dev team, was able to confirm that at around the same timing when the server repairs are going to be made planning to implement.
