This translation was confusing to me. By "bind/bound" they are referring to the spirit bond aspect of gear, correct? If so, you should alternate the words from "bond/bonded" instead, since those are the words we are familiar with in regards to spirit bonding and all that fun stuff.

As Rein mentioned, pretty sure this has to do with "Bind on Equip" as is common in most MMOs these days. So from what Rein was saying, once you've done something to accumulate spiritbind on a piece of equipment (aka kill one monster) you're no longer able to trade or market that equipment.

In ver 1.x if you meld a materia onto that gear it reset the spirit bond to 0% right... can't remember... I thought it did. So it's possible to trade/sell after melding materia onto them??

I can't remember honestly, but I don't know how many people are going to spiritbond stuff and then add materia later to it to sell. I think most people would start with a newly crafted piece of gear and then add materia to it to sell or use.

OK it's Saturday so don't usually do this but since YoshiP posted this I'll translate this one since it's semi important to beta test phase 1/2

NAのフォーラムで「βテストフェーズ1では槍、弓、幻しか使えない」というポストがあります。
本来は3都市を巡るメインクエストで、全クラスが交わってからコンテンツ攻略が始まるのですが、
βテストフェーズ1/2がグリダニアで閉じているため、剣術士が使えない状況です。
In the NA forum it is said you can only use those classes from Gridania in Phase 1.
Normally in main quest you run through the 3 cities and then go through contents with all the classes but in beta phase 1 we have only opened Gridania for Phase 1 & 2 so you can't use Gladiator.

しかしレベル25のダンジョンは、3都市訪問後に導線が引かれているダンジョンであるため、
しっかり役割分担が必要なバランスに調整されています（ファインダー対象ですし）。
攻略する上で盾役（TANK）が必要になるため、βテストフェーズ1/2の特例措置として、
剣術士ギルドを介さなくても、剣術士が使用可能になっています。
However for the level 25 dungeon there is one where you go through after going to all 3 cities and is adjusted to where everyone needs to play their role. (Also it works with the finder). In order to take on this dungeon you will need a tank therefore as a special case even though you can't go to the Gladiators guild you will be able to use Gladiator.

特定クエスト完了後にとあるNPCに話しかけるとクラス解放されるようになっています。
詳細はβテストフェーズ1マニュアルに記載していますが、ひとまず誤った情報が広まりそうなので訂正させて頂きます。
After completing some quest you talk to one NPC and you can use the class.
For more details we will note it in the phase 1 manual but I wanted to correct this part before the wrong information spreads.

追ってNA側のフォーラムにも訂正かけます（なにせ土曜で時差アリのため、訂正まで数時間かかりそうです）。
Will have the NA forum make this announcement as well but as today being Saturday and time difference it may take few hours for this information to be out.

Sorry didn't proof read or anything my kid jumping around so doing this quick.

Basically means in Phase 1/2 you will be in Gridania and only can use those jobs + Gladiator (after completing specific quest) since you will need a tank to take on the level 25 dungeon. This was done just for Phase 1/2 to get the tank in game.

誤解を招く表現で失礼しました（修正しておきます）。

βフェーズ3からになりますが、メインシナリオの導線上、綺麗に全役割が交わった上で、
パーティコンテンツが開始されるように設計していますので、その点はご安心を。

あくまで上記はβテストフェーズ1/2に関しての措置です。

This one he's basically replying to someone asking if Gladiator is only tank in game, and he responds saying Marauder is also a tank. Also saying from phase 3 everything should be in place and you will be able to run through the main scenario which involves every class to get into party contents. The above post by YoshiP is just for Phase 1 & 2.
