Not trying to start any turbulence in your thread Rein, but have the Japanese expressed as much concern over the amount of gil being dumped into the economy due to the Atomos event like the English forums? Just curious.

Cause, and is causing right now. (Partly because less people are getting other items, but also because everyone is getting really easy gil).

There is another announcement in a article... looking for the original source but people on JP side is saying once the server closes on 11/11 and YoshiP gives the next live producer letter then ALPHA will start, and they are all saying they thought alpha was supposed to run while current version is going and beta was when FFXIV servers close.

I pretty much felt that was going to happen. I don't see them releasing A Realm Reborn until at least early March to be honest. That is if they really do take the Alpha/Beta seriously.

Yep, they're really taking their time with this lol -- I don't see ARR till after XI's expansion launches next year to be honest and with how little there seems to be let alone the 'weekly updates after gamescom', I don't really think they're even in an alpha state. I really think SE should stop giving "seasons" and just give a month lol, Alpha testing "in fall"...November 11th (if even the same day or week) through endish of December is hardly fall testing, that's a month of testing and that's just the Japanese closed alpha test.
