ya people already talking about market nightmare because of different color variants but that talk already started when they posted the dyeing information up on the lodestone topics; so pretty sure devs going to figure out something by 1.20
One of the JP players post was pretty nice was like having it in category like say for dodoskin subligar
When you click on the item they show sub category with regular and any stat up version then you click on that to see what color variations available; this way it wont clutter up the market search with every color, stat up versions.
- Dodoskin Subligar
- Dodoskin Subligar
- Dodoskin Subligar - Strength Up
- Dodoskin Subligar - Sexiness Up
- Dodoskin Subligar - Sexiness Up [GREEN]
- Dodoskin Subligar - Sexiness Up [GOLD]
- Dodoskin Subligar - Sexiness Up [RAINBOW]
- Dodoskin Subligar - [Materia(s) attached]
- Boarskin Subligar
- Peistskin Subligar
- Raptorskin Subligar
I have a feeling that perhaps they'll implement a filter function to allow one to condense the search to what they'd like to find.
-Color(Green, Red, Blue, etc)
-Type(Power, Wisdom etc.)
So basically say you want Green color, Power.
You select hand armor it'll show only the gloves that are green with the Power augment on them. If you don't see any of your color then you can just remove the color filter and obtain any "Power" and just dye it yourself lol. The concept in the quote, while it may work as long as armor only has 2-4 variations, but as the variations become greater which one would think is the main objective behind being able to customize your armor I would imagine that being able to filter to your liking would work better then sub menus for each piece of armor.

Agreed they need to have multiple filters, just copy WoW/Rifts/Aion AH/marketplace UI.
They need to rename items with strength to be something like "Warrior Boarskin Sugligar" for example so when you type that in you only get that item back in multiple colours, then you the user can either change the order by colour or price.
You could add filters for colour and materia as well to bring back less results.

Or you could discuss this in the proper thread? I know, crazy idea.

If you wish to get into details
Aion
> Press "I" or click Inventory
> Click your Dye
> Click the gear
> Click OK
FFXIV
> Make sure gear is not equipped
> Press - or the menu button
> Click synthesis
> Click empty slot
> Click Dye (after scrolling because no grid system)
> Click Gear (after scroll because no grid system)
> Click Start
> Wait
> Click finish
> Click Cancel
lots of steps!

Yup, 1 interface, unlike XIV's 3 interfaces (Synth window, inventory window, and craft status window), doing anything ingame requires some fort of interface action. Doing a cure uses an interface, talking to an npc lol. But some use more than others and require lots of steps.
But this will likely be changed in 2.0 so its all meh to me.

can ya guys bring this out from here? i thought there was a new translation ya'know.
