until you realize that their citizens are generally smarter and much more respectable, not to mention show a sense of honor that far surpasses anything i've ever seen displayed in the average american..![]()

Which is why they invented Tentacle porn. OK dude we get it. Your a weeaboo. What betelgeuzah is trying to say is not everyone in Japan is a samurai or a anime character like you would like to think. Japan is just like America except they are Japanese
You didn't read what Reinheart said in his post. Stop throwing that word around and get back on topic.
(However don't forget much of the technology that went into creating the parts for your t.v/monitor and computer components originated from japan)
I didn't read what he said in his post nor have I thrown any words around because that was my first post in this thread... Also, just because they invented some parts in my t.v. I don't think that means I should say Japanese are smarter, more respectable, and more noble than Americans.

ah yess i'm a weabooyet i speak no Japanese, and hardly watch anime, nice try though bud.. respect for a well developed culture? I think so, much like the respect i have for Germany.. and Japan is nothing like america.. if we had an earthquake here within 24 hours every store in the area would have been looted, go look up the amount of looting that took place that day

Ahh... more demonization of the American culture based off of baseless statements.ah yess i'm a weabooyet i speak no Japanese, and hardly watch anime, nice try though bud.. respect for a well developed culture? I was stationed in Tokyo working at the American Embassy when I was a Marine. Best time of my life, such great people the JPs.
Anyways we're flying off topic, this is Reinhearts awesome thread so I'm gonna shut up now except to thank Reinheart for translating for us.
Thanks Reinheart ^.^ (and sorry for making a mess of the last two pages. I'll behave now)
Yes quite true. When I graduated from highschool my friends got me workbooks. They were essentialy childrens books where you had to write the same character again and again and again. I carried that book everywhere I went and whenever I had a spare moment I practiced. As a result, I can read and write Japanese fairly well. (I'd rate myself at a 3rd/4th grade level. Can't read a newspaper well tho)It's especially true for writing.
I don't mean just any book. There are good methods to practice the language (SRS+Heisig) and there are bad methods (what the great majority of classes teach you) like banging your head against the wall.Yes quite true. Eh, they use the same alphabet, just differently and with slight modifications. Both are hard to learn but in different ways. It's not that much more complex. Try Chinese, it's actually much harder than Japanese is.
Like intonation which is easy for someone learning Japanese but learning Chinese it's a nightmare if your mother language doesn't make use of it.
