I always cheese PF ilvl requirements if I know I can do the job. Just put on high ilvl gear from your other jobs and join the party then quietly slip on your healing gear. On my WHM I started going to T4 with ilvl 73 (which is already overkill really). Don't do this if you're actually new to the fight though. I usually MT T4 and have done it ad nauseam so know the fight in and out.

TLDR; people suck and think gear will make them better
Yes people suck. All you can control is the gear people who join via PF have. Gear does increase HP, HPS, and DPS regardless of player skill. So yeah....
If they had an option in party finder to check peoples success rate instead... I would gladly click that option over Ilevel.

Yeah maybe you only have ilevel 82 but you have cleared titan 15 times with 1 shots? Come on in!.. Too bad people would rage even more if the ability to party find people by such things was built into the game.

My question is...are you new to the fight or do you know it well?

If you know it well, then you /tell the leader and say so. If you have T4 equipment on your class then there is little reason to turn you down. But, be aware that if you screw up you're highly likely to get kicked fast.

However, if you are new to it (either with your class or new overall) then he was well withing his rights to turn you away if he didn't want to teach the fight.

And yes, if I don't meet a PF and know the fight, I'll cheat the req if I'm close and know no one will be able to tell (I recommend only "cheating" no more than 2 ilv...beyond that gear-check will show you cheated and will likely get you kicked.). I used to do this for WHM all the time before I got more i90 healing gear, and do it for BLM when I need to. I know the fights and know I can do them, so I have no issues doing it when close

If I was forming a turn 4 pug I would not let you in unless I knew you had cleared it or were a good healer. Often a higher iLevel gives a higher chance the pugs have cleared it and have more coil experience. I don't mind teaching the fight but it's time consuming and an experienced pug group shouldn't have to wipe over and over because the healer pulled aggro at spawn, got cleaved by the Dreadnaught's frontal attack, or went oom early because they spam cure 2. Just keep asking around though.

Most shouts I see are for Ilvl 84 for T4, if you a healer, I think you can get away with 78-80, but the rest of the party you want 84 due to dps, than you want the tank 84, so the dps aren't stealing hate etc...honestly have you been in a t4 run where everyone is 74-78 instead of 80-84, its called "slow dps, oh yeah...we're dead"

i got my first t4 clear in vanya gear and darklight. my ilvl was probably 73ish but this was before that shit was even calculated by the game people had to judge you on your performance instead of some arbitrary number. its easy to get past these by the way, if you feel like you can handle it throw on some i90 accessories from another job just to boost your numbers, if you perform your job right then noone will ever know the difference

It's just people trying to be safe and outgear the content. For our first T4 win our MT was using AF1 body and the rest of the party had mostly darklight and AK gear.

Turn 4 is a pure dps check but unfortunately, more than any other type of job, most DPS are awful and need the gear to make up for their lack of skill and crappy rotations.

While turns 4 and 5 can be done with sub-90 gear, they are a huge jump in difficulty over turns 1 and 2.

They both require a reasonable amount of skill and gear. While your gear may be more than enough to clear the content, most random groups aren't going to be willing to gamble the time it takes to clear it with sub-i80 members.

If you want to clear turns 4 and 5 without hitting i85-i90 you will need to find a static to invest time taking on these challenges at a higher difficulty.

If you only intend to clear them with random groups I recommend working toward i90 in the class that you want to clear them with.

Having more than one class available to play endgame content does not entitle you to a party spot in the most difficult runs with a sub-optimal build.

EDIT: Just start your OWN group on the party finder with a lower ilevel. Don't worry about what other people want in their groups. If you still can't clear it afterwards, consider upping your gear if you want to have an easier time grouping with randoms.

If you are wearing healer gear, and your hp is above 4k, its probably good enough for t4. This is because you get more vit on pieces that matter more, like body and legs. Thing is, Party Finder can only check ilvl. If you are i80 and not just because of i90 accessories, you will have about that much hp. It does make it harder if you have penta-melded vanyas, but again, party finder cant check for that.

They ask for that, you didn't meet the requirement, so they rejected you. I see no reason to complain about that.
Besides, you only need 1 or 2 accessories from EX primal to reach ilv 80, so myth cap isn't really a good excuse.
The problem is more that the ilvl system is a flat average of all your gear instead of weighting it to important stat heavy pieces. Missing 2-3 points of MND/VIT/whatever from an i60 ring isn't going to make much difference what so $#(*#$!$ ever.
