    wow....

just got turned down for a t4 run because my ilvl is 78 and not 80.....and i see one in pf requiring 84? wtf???15 or so extra mind isnt gonna make or break anything.

if anyone is curious my gear is:
    Omnilex Zenith
    myth body
    ct crown and gloves
    myth legs and feet
    dl belt and accessories
and one low level item in strategos ring

i level and play a lot of classes so devoting all my myth to one class is hard since theres a cap. plus i have what i like to call class ADD

I think ilv 80 requirement is quite normal for turn 4. It would be unfair to make it different just for healer.
They ask for that, you didn't meet the requirement, so they rejected you. I see no reason to complain about that.
Besides, you only need 1 or 2 accessories from EX primal to reach ilv 80, so myth cap isn't really a good excuse.

To be fairly honest, you could complete T4 in darklight gear, given that you have adequate skills in playing your class. However, most people look for high ilv players presuming that ilv equals player's skills, which in my opinion that belief is misplaced. But most people, included myself, thinks that lowering the ilv would not equates to higher chances of getting good players but instead increase the odds of getting "bad" players.

My advice to you is: make some friends, add them on friend list. From my personally experience, if I know the man, knowing he is a good player- I would get him in a T4 group even if he is ilv68 with just darklight and no +1.

You did not get into the group even though you are only 2 ilvs away mean simply that they did not trust you enough to think that you are a competent player. (I am sure you are a good player, but reality is reality)

If you haven't been in a t4 PT before then you won't understand that it's a lot tougher than t1 and t2 and casual approaches by making exceptions can be a difficult decision unless you know the person and how well they can play.
I did the same thing once and got speaking to the guy who was the leader of the PT, kept it friendly and polite and offered my services for whenever I managed to meet his requirements. In the meantime I have managed to get into quite a lot of t4 Pt's as I have an i83 BRD and MNK. This is where the problem was obvious though, some other people, despite having the same level could not keep up with the DPS needed to kill everything so quickly, whether they didn't know how to play their job or their gear was simply a foot in the door rather than being optimal I don't know.

The point I am trying to make is whilst it may not be necessary to exclude certain jobs that may not need to be of a certain level, it's usually best to keep the ilvl requirements as it lessens the chances that you wipe because of it. Also a lot of people want to do that turn and it doesn't usually take long for the leaders to find someone who is higher geared.

It happens. I used to have a hell of a time trying to get into groups when my paladin was under i80 even though I've done it before, since people tend to set the requirement pretty high in Party Finder even for things like Ultima and Hard-modes. Sometimes I would sneak in by equipping i90 accessories from another class.

I got lucky. Some groups are super strict. I PM the recruiter and told him I cleared it as an i88 tank, but not as healer and I was only i74 (DL, allegen boots, relic weapon).

They let me in, I healed MT and we cleared T4 in one go. Was also my first time trying as healer.

    Some will let you in.

But yeah, others will not budge. But if happen to have a character on Cerberus, I'll let you in.

Beat Turn 4 weeks after release. The entire party was i71 or less. Anybody that thinks you need i80 for it makes me laugh.

It just takes a single tell telling them that while you may not have the required ilevel, you know the fight and one very important detail; You are a healer.
If you haven't taken that step then you are just as big a part of the problem.
If you have and they still said no, then they are not worth your time.

They usually put that ilevel requirement up for the DPS, like many other MMORPG I have played, healers are usually given a lot of slack.

And how many of the people you cleared it with were pick-ups?

Fact remains that many people are unable to clear it even in i90... because they simply can't play their jobs properly.
