DR doesn't prevent people from doing stuff with their friends. Surely capping your weekly tome allowance slower is a small price to pay for being able to play with your friends. Hell, most people in my FC cap their Myth during THs.
The problem is, dungeons were one of the only things I could do with friends outside of a static group.
Coil, primals and sometimes even the Crystal Tower parties are the same tight knit groups, only when it comes to the daily roullete did people think "Wow, I wish I could go with my friends I never get to play with anymore..."

Dungeons aren't the only content you can do with friends, but if you can get your bonuses together and have fun at the same time, why not group together?

I still don't get why it's an issue.

    Two Roulletes

[Solo and Group Roulette], you'd still have the option to do either. Nothing is forcing you to group up for daily roulletes, and nothing is forcing you to do them solo either (once released).

You're still going to be paired with other players seeking a dungeon regardless of this new addition, so what difference would it make if you both queued seperateley or in a group? The difference is particularly minimal.

People will still queue solo. Other MMO's have proven this.

Exactly. This is the only point I want to get across strongly.

I'm missing finding things to play with friends (outside of weekly locked out content), which there simply doesn't seem to be in ARR at the moment.

As others have said letting groups do the Roulette defeats the purpose of the Roulette itself. If bonus tomes are worth more to you than playing with friends then use the Roulette, if not que up the old fashioned way and enjoy your dungeon with your friends, even with 2 DPS que times are much shorter than queing solo which the bonus tomes make up for. Sounds to me you guys want it both ways, bonus tomes and much shorter ques but you'll get that at the expence of others just trying to clear content or que up solo, I don't think that's fair and I don't think they'll implement it.

But that leaves 2 DPS spots open, people in the Roulette can fill those slots so you'll only negatively effect other people's que times if you and your friend stop doing dungeons all together or you only do pre-made parties. If you still use the DF you've made no difference at all by refusing to Roulette.

You can already get quick, fast and smooth runs with your friends. You don't need more incentive on top of that. Which is why I said two might work. More than that defeats the primary purpose. DPS will still be sitting in ques for hours on end because two dps and a tank que'd together and stole the solo healer sitting in the waiting pool.

I am maxed on tomes dont care about them, I really liked the randomness of the Roulette system, I can only queue so many things but Roulette pulls from a larger list of dungeons, story modes, etc. I cant queue normal ifrit but I can help people by randomly joining roulette. Sometimes we just get bored running the same dungeons and want a 'random' change on scenery. We play because we like the game not because we need anything from doing this anymore.
