Any Word On Group Roulette?

As far as I recall it was 2.2 or slightly after.

The point of the roulette is to get players to play old content so it doesn't dry up. If they implement a group roulette people will only play with their friends again and pugs, newbies and people who are soloing will have 18 hour ques again.

People who want to queue solo will still queue solo.

People who want to queue with their friends will queue with their friends anway.

This won't change too much. Why restrict people who wish to play an MMO with friends, when there are plenty of people who prefer and or currently play solo?

For an MMO that originally promoted playing with your friends as its biggest factor, it sure has ruined that image with ARR so far. (IE. Coil Lockout/Solo content)

Even the job quests are solo now, most of the old friends/stranger friendly content is all but gone.

It will change. Because the people who que with friends are now queing solo. I am one of them. It stimulates the DF for solos. I would be for 2 player party roulette. But even that is iffy if the 2 players are both DPS and then take up a tank and healer together.

I'm a healer with friends. No matter what happens I'm set, but I am thinking about others. Duty Roulette is only once a day for the good stuff. I doubt anyone playing an MMO needs the bonus 40 marks that badly. If you are going que quickly and run a dungeon with your friends I am sure you can run two dungeons.

But I still don't see how it's a huge issue. A lot of people primarily play these games to play with friends, having no option to do one of the main pieces of content with your friends is a shame. Since the duty roulette came out I've played with friends less and less, having the option to complete our daily roulette together would be much more fun.

Yes, there's a chance it might slow down the 'solo' queues as you said, but at the same time it's stinting the main point of this game.

How is it stinting it? You don't HAVE to do the duty roulette. The duty roulette has no unique content. You are choosing 40 tomes over your friend. If 40 tomes means "you no can no longer enjoy the game with your friends" then you must not really be friends. And again, its 40 tomes ONCE a day.
