Auto Decline feature

Already in the game, set status to busy, you'll get a little bomb icon over your head.

Again only a temp fix that you shouldn't have to do to avoid spam. Once you turn that off your back to the spam again. Lets make a few more points on this. Having the auto decline feature for each inviting option would be the better choice. It will give you the power to turn on and off what you want. Making it easy to avoid the spam as a whole.

Something like this would be good. Had my first case of someone spamming me with FC invites the other day -_- I don't mind people propositioning me for this type of thing in MMO's generally if they're polite enough to speak to me prior and explain WHY I should join them... -_-

I blacklist invite spammers. If the first 10 declines didn't let them know I don't want to join their FC, then they're no better than RMT bots.


Sorry, why exactly do we have to join a FC with people we don't know when we can still interact and socialize with people via parties, linkshells, or even tell or shout?

You don't have to join any FC but you do get bonus buffs and with Rank 8 get 2 extra buffs that could make teleporting cheaper or more xp when fighting with chocobo more exp for DOW,DOM or DOL,DOH, or more spritebond gain and lots more!

Um... and having an 'auto-decline' wouldn't be just another temporary fix? Or were you planning on having an auto-decline that you couldn't disable (which would be entirely pointless).

The feature already exists. Use it or don't. When you're in a duty no one can send you FC invites anyway, so that argument is as dead as the dodo.

please go back and re read the post i replied to him because having to make yourself busy to avoid everything is one thing i get that but if you go back and read the main post that i revised you will understand more clear what i mean

I never got a blind invite... playing since 1.0 lol (granted im in an FC btu even before then, and linkshell wise- get nothing) but well if it helps you sure, but i think some players may set decline and then forget about it and at some point when they will be okay with being invited they wont receive it. So i think when an invite is auto declined should get a msg: "an fc invite by the player "name surename" has been declined.

Are things way different on Leviathan or something? I recently made an alt and leveled her to 50 on two jobs without an FC, and I got maybe 5 FC invites and 0 LS invites that entire time over the course of a month or so. I don't really feel like that warrants the time spent adding an auto-decline on FC/LS invites when you can already set your online status to 'busy' when you don't want to receive them. To date I have still never received a blind invite to an LS, and while on characters with no FC, I was never 'spammed' by anyone.

The OP (which I fully agree with) is tired of **BLIND** invites. I went back to lvl LNC/DRG and wow. I got blind FC invites left and right. It literally was getting insanely annoying.

Especially now cause I can soon transfer off my damned legacy server and join my friends on a non-legacy who already have a FC set up.

this post isnt just for fc and link shell invites its for every invite feature the game has it can be abused thats the whole point of adding the feature and you can turn on and off each individual item if this feature were put in place meaning you have a selection of what you want on and what you want off which in my eyes is needed
