Proof Please.Because SE can't ruin what other players already ruined long before botting became common place. Bots aren't the ones constantly undercutting items into oblivion. Also, didn't yoshi say recently to be discrete if you're going to use addons and 3rd party tools? I know he was talking about the parser and FFXIVAPP, but a lot of the bots out there are 3rd party addons to XIVAPP..so...

Well, if we wanted to go into full conspiracy mode here, wouldn't SE make even more money with quick bans so they could keep selling more games and subs as the RMT churn through new accounts? LOL
--------------------------------------------------
The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.

If they are obvious botters with no way to hide it then it is possible that since they know they will get banned for sure the next ban hammer hits and so they troll SE by creating new chars with the same names as the old ones. It also sends a message to the gill buyers that they are here to stay as it gives the illusion that these chars are safe.
Thats exactly what I tell people. They sell their "fake" money for real money as a way to make some extra money without implementing a cash shop because people would cry so much if a cash shop was put in. "WHY DO WE PAY MONTHLY FOR THIS BLAH BLAH". Easy money for them.

IDK but there is a bot annoying the crap out of me. He is at the same spot farming shards every day all day no matter what time of day I check he is always there. He has a mix of level 30 to level 5 gathering gear and all he does is farm the same 3 nodes over and over 24hrs a day. I have reported him 3 times in a month and SE has done nothing about it. It's like they don't even care. The economy on my server has tanked mostly due to all of the non stop farming by rmt.
Not all bots belong to RMT, some belongs to greedy players who are lazy to work hard to get those gils.
Just saying.

Thats just it though. Its the same ones over and over. Never going away. I mean honestly even if 1 single person moved to this, just went, checked every case and banned people 1 at a time. Even if it took them an hour to look into each case and figure out if its a bot or just someone hooked up to a UV and their computer. at a rate of 1 person per hour, the problem would still see changes. The same people woudln't be there, in 3 months it would be new toons, so the bots would at the very least have to buy new copies of the game all the time.
Insanity: If you were here. You'd be a giant duck by now.

Until I see an entire zone owned entirely by Bots (eg FFXI), this one is not gonna gripe too much about it. If they do exist SE is doing a pretty fair job about keeping them under wraps.

I still are convinced that one of the best actions against RMT is make the trial accounts only in dedicated servers. If a legit user switch to paid service, he can create characters in all other worlds then. About the time spent in trial server, it is no more or less, as playing in open betas with character wipe at the end. If he gets friends and so on, just they can arrange to meet in a given world when they go paid service.

In case of shards farmers, don't buy the 1k or 2k packages that appear 10fold on the MB. But the problem is, the ones who visit the forums and threads like these probably wouldn't anyway. How would you convince the general playerbase to pay more for stuff like this?
I also am not sure if there's any point to filling out those report, or if I'm just wasting my time there.
It would be nice to have them filled out already. Click on name, report, it should put all the information under appropriate sections.
