How do I go on after trying dungeons hundreds of times?

Thornmarch and Titan HM are Trials, yes, we know. This is the Dungeon section of the forums, so this can go here regardless. I also can't edit the title so oh well.
I just want a Mog Weapon for my PLD from Thornmarch, but after another dozen tries of marking targets and giving directions and info for every single one of them, this is too tiring. I can't find a team that can carry me for once because I'm always having to do it myself. It sounds arrogant, but I'm too worn out to care by this point.

The same result keeps happening on Titan HM, I'm never going to get better gear because I never find anyone that can handle themselves. Stuck in an endless stagnation, and if I try to DPS for either fight, Titan HM finds results quickly usually, but it takes half an hour at the least for DPS on Thornmarch, and I need to be doing the damage apparently if all those runs for Thornmarch are evidence of anything.

I'd do a Party Finder, but after today my subscription expires so I don't have the time to sit here for hours to find people, even if they're confident players. I just want to get one or two planned things done before I break for awhile, and it just cannot let me win.

I'm in a similar situation and also at the same time opposite situation.

I'm trying to collect every mog weapon and I'm currently 4/9. The issue is finding a group to do it because they are either absolutely terrible and can't follow paint by numbers, or you can't find anyone at all. Today for instance I finally decided to try farming again spent 2 hours forming a group and finally we go in. Fantastic group flawless win, weapon drops we roll, leave to start another, someone quits group. It was advertised as a farm group, and a person who didn't get a drop, probably doing a story run, used a farm group to get their story complete and move on. Ok back to waiting 30-40 mins for a replacement.

Great now we got a replacement time to go back in. Another set of flawless runs, but I don't get a single drop while other people are getting 2-4 each. Then about 4-5 of them leave to go off and do another duty. Fair enough. They got bored, or got items can't blame them, but I'm still determined and I'm left to start over, building from scratch. I form another group after an hour and a half, only to have it fail miserably. Fine. Done forming groups, I'll just join DF and suck up the hour long queue. Got a group, great, OT is new. Ok we can teach him shouldn't be too bad. That OT manages to wipe us 3 times in a row, vote abandon.

Yeah at least you've made it through a few runs though, it's not happening for me in the slightest. After like 20+ tries, I should just start doing something on another class seeing as it's going so badly already. Can't finish my last day for awhile on a good note :/ I could level, but I could do that any other time, you can only find parties for a lot of these missions earlier in the day, as it gets later, less and less people are active for me.

I'll tell you what I did. I DFed until I knew titanHM, then when I could avoid the avoidable damage comfortably, I went in PF. Did exact same when my friend needed titan for his relic. Brought him in DF, then went PF. U need a comfy group for titan tbh. DPS have to avoid the avoidable damage so healers can heal the tanks + heal the unavoidable damage whole group takes ( tumult/geocrush ). It isn't hard at all, but the difficulty of finding a kill group in most cases eclipses the difficulty of the trial itself lol.....

It took 47 runs to get my robe from CT and 35 runs to get my Mogwand while enduring countless 1h+ queues (as a healer). Definitely not as bad as what some unluckier people have gone through but frustrating nonetheless. The best thing I've found is to pace yourself. Set a limit on the number of tries you do daily, say, for example, 5 tries today, 5 tries tomorrow, etc. until you get your drop. If you're obsessed with having that one item, then try to distract yourself with something else for a while (do things with friends, help newbies, level an alt class, listen to music, play another game, etc.) and then try a few more times. Doing straight back-to-back runs across multiple days is a miserable experience.

I think the same way as you. I did on my first char 5 run at day to get ifrit sword, then i tackled the relic. Same for CT, 2-3 run max per day until i drop OR get the very first decent drop on sunday. The only think obsessed me as much was Titan EX, done after 1 week of 2 hours tries per day and 10 hours in the next weekend

The standard method is to DF until you know you're not the problem, then PF/shout to increase your average results. If you have an FC or friends that can change the equation, well, that changes the equation. Personally, I just DFed my 2nd and 3rd relic. I feel like I learn my classes better with random knuckleheads, so taking that view helps me deal with the grind.

How you could pull it off, with only one day left, no idea. PF would probably still be your best bet unless you're loaded and want to buy runs or something.
