    I think with everything at lvl50, you come to about 14 rings you need (7 roles: crafter, gatherer, tank, healer, melee, caster, bard). I don't think it's a problem unless you have a lot of different classes at different level ranges and want to optimize equipment. Most of the time I didn't bother with proper accessories until lvl50. Though I'd always welcome more space. ^^

    So many rings can be cross classed that it works out. Unless you are keeping dex rings, str rings, int rings, mnd rings, vit rings, cp rings and gp rings for multiple lvl ranges you should be fine. And if you are keeping that many rings the question is why? If you have drg at 30 and mnk at 1 why keep your lvl 30 rings if you are planning to lvl mnk but not just right now. Convert them and get more when your mnk is actually at lvl 30. With 50s across the board my accessories slots are the least filled. Having 50 slots just for rings at this point in the game I think is just overkill

    Many didn't have the issue before. There are more ring options now than before, to include the class rings for battle, crafters and gatherers.

    I talk about the class rings as they are specific and we could see more like them in the future instead of "casting, aiming, maiming, etc". Maybe even future AF related. "Valor Ring"

    Just straight simple math.
    This is no classes or jobs sharing rings. A single gear set for each one.
    Battle jobs: 9 x 2 = 18
    Crafting & Gathering Classes: 11 x 2 = 22
    Total rings: 40
    Total Armory ring slots: 25

    All other gear slots, nothing shared Total: 20ea
    Armory slots for the other gear slots: 25ea

    5 spare armory slots available for all gear slots but ring.

    I didn't add battle classes since most lvl30+ are on jobs.

    So... Most classes have a pair that they share rings with. and at lvl 50, you would only need 2 rings for crafting, and 2 rings for gathering. 4 rings, not 22

    the achievement rings are basically vanity. The only ones really useful are the gatherer rings for the durability loss reduction since you don't really need to meld gatherer gear so that's not the best argument out there.

    And like Lynn said, you have 2 rings for crafting at 50 and even with the achievement rings that would make 4 for gathering which if you don't cross class a single ring (which you will do regardless if you want BiS) that still equals 24 rings which is 1 under the space we have currently.
