DoL FATE Ideas.

I set up my account here just to tell y'all that this is a AMAZING idea.

All the fisherman jump on a boat and go catch a leviathan, a party of miners crawling through a deep dark dungeon to find that one precious vein that only yields specific HQ materials need to craft only the finest of garbs... and Having a FATE here and there to break up the monotony of harvesting.

this would not only make DoL WAYYY more fun but because of the rare materials... this could bring DoH gear back up to par with the other end game gear.

Posting on these forums just to say I LOVE this idea and would be incredibly excited to see these kinds of FATEs in the game!

Thanks for all the responses and support of this topic. Please feel free to add your own ideas of potential FATEs that could align with this idea. Write them in a similar format as my original post and I'll add them along with mine so we can further show the desire and creativity for this idea.

Also, I managed to post this on the Japanese DoL (Gatherer) forums. Whether or not my Japanese ability is good enough to get the message across is yet to be known haha.

Liked your post and thank you for caring.. but don't get your hopes up. We've been after Yoshi since last Summer to give all dol/fishing something and so far it hasn't been much cept a new rod with same stats as the luminary. 3 new tools and a set of gear for all dol and a useless master fisher ring with gp on it and no materia slots. The vast array of creative ideas posted on this forum were awesome from tackle boxes to contests to deep sea fishing and on and on but we got nada.. so far. Your fate ideas are very welcome especially when the cap is raised.

Fishing is just a mini game while you wait to do dungeons according to Yoshi and that's it so I'm cautiously optimistic for the below:

I think it would be cool to have a dungeon for both gathering and battle classes.
The disciples of land would need to be protected from monsters so the disciples of war and magic would keep the monsters off them while they gather.
There would be a small story like the other dungeons as why they are there.

Could have a guildhest where the fisherman fish up monsters or kill onslaught of monsters while the miner or botanist is doing their thing

This is the first I've heard of this new fishing thing! Nice! I'm excited. I wonder if they are going to bring fishing nets or something into play? Put our GP to use!

yup DoL should have stuff like this.

Also there should be mixed party instances. v.1 had something where DoL could help in a combat instance by gathering junk while the rest of the party fought. I would like a big boss that you climb on and escort a miner or botanist to gather from his weak points to do damage.
