    VIT or STR?

So I'm in endgame and not sure on if maxing out VIT or STR is more beneficial. I've seen around that some people put 30 att into STR and use all STR boosting gears but I don't really know on if it all that much better than a full VIT warrior. Right now I am 30 VIT and have mainly VIT jewelry/gears so far.

Any real help besides "GO STR DURP" or vice versa.
    Thanks

Endgame would prefer VIT more than STR

unless you are in static and on ST side so STR is viable

seeing that twintania can 1 shot a full i90 vit geared warrior with 30 points on vit with a death sentence/ auto attack combo if she was not debuffed and tank failed to use cds or innerbeast. Id say stick with your vit gear. well geared you would have over 8600 health and thats prob not including food. Your big health pool can allow a healer to patch up a dps that may need some help ect. If you are not doing coils, feel free to just use your dps jewelry or use materia on the gryphonskin crafted jewelry.

I do coils with my blm. But i do tend to tank here n there , hm primals, ct, n hm dungeons. I do have 15 str and 15 vit and all my jewelry is crafted which gives me 60str over reg vit tanks yet still have 7600 health.

Always go for reliability, especially with 2.2 on the horizon. Using melded STR/VIT jewelry or full STR accessories are far better (and more convenient) options, should you need/want more DPS.

You never go wrong in assigning all the stat points to your main attribute for any of ur respective jobs, a.k.a VIT in tanks' case. STR on tanks is debatable. I am not saying no to it, but I just think that in the high-end fights of the game, you do need the maximum amount of HP u can get from your gear. Maybe on some not so high-end fights, you can go with STR accessories... dishes out more DPS, which can make things quicker(or whatever).

I have found that a mix of 15/15 is pretty nice, until you get a good bit of end game gear. Once this happens you will get a LARGE amount of STR from gear, and really after that you don't need the 30 from stat points.
But 15/15 or 10/20 while gearing up isn't a bad idea. Really the 30 points either way isn't going to make or break you.
STR = slightly stronger self healing(not much), but realy all it does is increase your parry by ~ .8 % which isn't a bad idea.
I think the aggro arguments are dumb, because weapon damage > all str stats. And overpower is well overpowered.

Go full Vit for stat allocation and have a VIT jewlery set as well as a DPS one (or even better a gryphonskin set).
Depending on content I'm doing, I'll either go full VIT accessories or full DPS or a mix of both.
The idea is to reach an HP pool you'll be comfortable tanking and use the rest to increase damage.

I have a full set of gryhponskin accesories penda melded with VIT, Parry and Crit and it's really wonderfull. I'll be sitting at 8300HP in party (vs 8800HP in full vit) but my DPS increased by 40% and the extra mitigation from slightly high parry reduction and rate.

I would suggest full VIT, I have seen tanks live with 100-300 hp from a DS that would otherwise be a one shot on Twintania. Things happen and as you learn fights you may mistime your buffs, or be running from twister and not able to get that inner beast up for some reason. Yes, as you get more experienced with fights mistakes happen less and less, but that extra padding from VIT is quite nice to allow your SCH to land that Lustrate that will save you

    VIT.

    All. The. Way.
You'll never need more STR from allocated stat points. Keep some melded accessories for the occasions when you want to DPS.

    VIT for sure.

As others are saying, use DPS accessories (penta melding for a good mix of VIT/DPS) if you feel the need to go DPS powah moad.
