I can't believe so many experienced people here on the forums are still doing easy enrage mode. Normal mode is not even that hard guys.

Enrage is easier for generally uncoordinated PUGs. Most of the people I know in-game that have been doing coil a while still use the Rot method. I'd personally like to try the Rot method a few more times, only got to try it twice before we started doing enrage.
Rot is quicker, why people wouldn't do it is beyond me.
It's idiot-proof and unarguably easier for the general player base. You can argue all you want but in the eyes of the unskilled, enrage is the quicker method since they don't risk someone forgetting about rot and have to do it all over again.
If you mess up Rot, you start the Turn over again. With a PUG, you're putting all your faith in those other people not messing up. With the enrage method it is pretty much impossible to mess up - the only thing that CAN be messed up is silencing High Voltage, and that's not necessarily going to wipe you.
True, I just feel people should know how to do the rot method. Every other instance forces you to learn the mechanics but this one lets people weasel their way around it.If you mess up Rot, you start the Turn over again. Only if they're over-geared though.
Enrage doesn't work out so well with people in mostly Darklight.
Look at Demon Wall in AK for another example. When we first got there in i55 gear we had to deal with the bees one at a time while also dodging poison/paralyze/repel. Now people just ignore them entirely (if they even spawn at all).
There will probably be something similar in the next set of turns where everyone running i90 will have to learn the mechanics whereas people who come to the content late with people mostly in i110 gear will be able to ignore them.
It's just the nature of the game.
