Playing with friends/questing

So I've pretty much solo'd up to 50.
I finally got a friend of mine to get the game..but it seems like the only thing we can do is dungeons? Can't share quests or anything like that. Are dungeons the only thing you can do in a party? Fate grinding doesn't seem all that great either. >_<

Dungeons, guildhests, trials, treasure maps, hunting logs, and daily quests I think are the only current content that work very well in a party. Most quests also work, although unfortunately not the story quests (unless it's in a dungeon). I could include chain-kill grind parties, but that is honestly even more soul killing than FATE grinding.

If you're in a party and you take on a side quest do the other people also complete that quest if they haven't before? Or at least get the XP?

Assuming it is not an individual instance, other party members can get xp from the mobs and credit for the kills. Everyone has to turn in the quest individually though, so if they haven't even picked it up yet then they would only get the mob xp.

The only quests that are solo are the guild quests. I've done leave quests with a group and it turned out to be a fun time

Thanks for the replies. I didn't know you could do guild stuffs with friends. That's another thing we can do. I'm so glad :P
