this game is so focused on getting everybody to R50 as soon as possible and as easy as possible. What for? Nothing to do yet at the end of the game. I find that decisions as these is just going to make people demand (which is working so far) for more end game content, and sadly i dont think thats going to happen anytime soon. Yoshida still has to implement auto attack, refix the battle system, redo the regions, add more side quests, implement more jobs, add chocobos or airships............and more. I dont really see the point of all this if you can breeze to R50. My personal opinion is that i would like them to implement all those things mentioned above and allow us to enjoy the journey to R50 instead of rushing us there.

I'm not really sure what you mean by that. But either way, I disagree, as the player will NOT be getting anymore SP while they are absent from the game for an extended period of time. It really isn't 'free' exp if they still need to go out and kill monsters in order to get that extra SP. Just think of the bonus SP as an extended version of Guardian's Aspect without having to be doing a leve.

Eventually, the person who played non-stop (or brief stops) will still be ahead of the person who went absent, no matter how much extra SP they have. They merely have a timed boon towards their gain, nothing more. It won't be just plunked right into their amount, but merely a buff. So it's not free. Free is when the character does nothing, and they still get SP, like 1 SP per day they're not logged in. THAT I do not want. From what I'm getting, they're merely placing it as a buff, so instead of earning 300SP from a kill, for a limited time depending on how long you were absent, you get 500-600SP. (CASE ONLY, NOT REAL, MERELY OPINION)

FFXIV is turning into EZ mode ? Offline EXP, No Thanks ! I will be off by then by guess. Offline exping will be utter fail. My opinion. I would rather let them boost Guardian Favor to 250-300-350 if they re not playing for long, long time. But gaining EXP while off is indeed, no game.

everyone's going nuts yet we don't know sh*t about rested exp, when it will come or how it will affect us.
    everyone needs to relax.
it's not like SE's going to make it so you can log out and come back to kill off one mob and get your instant level.
EZ MODE EZ MODE OMGOMGOMG WoW WoW shit omg omg omg.
i like FF games, and i loved FFXI, but really, now i can understand those calling us fanboys for rejecting everything that might benefit the game but gets rejected right of the bat just because it's being used by another game like WoW or Aion (yes i said WoW, sue me)

unfortunally, some of us have already exp with that rest exp, if you mention Aion and wow as exampler, as said before the system is casual friendly but not gaming competition

How many times are we going to ask to lower the sp curve? Until leveling is no longer an accomplishment?

In FFXIV completing a challenge while normal nets you 500 XP, while completing it fatigued earns you 250 xp.

The systems the same, nomenclature is different. The major difference is though that with XIV the deeper into fatigue you go the less XP you get per completed challenge.
You keep saying FFXIV's fatigue and WoW's surplus are the same, yet that simply isn't true, and you outline why in this post (in bold).

Please stop saying it's the same. It isn't the same. You're only saying that as an excuse for a flawed design mechanic.

The System IS the same, minor issues with it are different. But the same result happens.

    1. You log in, You earn X XP
    2. After a While You Earn X - X% XP
    3. After you log out a while and log back on You earn X XP again.

the system IS the same. Its to discourage long term play.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
