Oh give me a break. I love (sarcasm) people like you that are such fan boys that you would defend this ridiculous server error that many, many people are having across multiple worlds in North America, and claim it's the internet provider.
It's funny how out of all the people who have issues, they just happen to route through Level3.net, a confirmed source of many issues people face with this game.
Sorry, I don't know what Level3.net is.
The fact of the matter is, these issues (at least for me) were very rare before Patch 2.16. Now, since Monday I've been disconnected roughly 15-20 times over two evenings. The other notable aspect, is that on the rare occasion I would be kicked before Patch 2.16, upon re-logging I would almost always come back to the dungeon I was in. Now, myself, as well as many people on this forum and in my FC, are ending up completely kicked from the instance and back at their home point (Limsa for me).
So, how is this an issue with a person's internet service provider?
This is a Google search away. It's not your ISP or SE per se, but the communication between the two. Extreme packet loss started occurring awhile ago for Verizon and other customers who use a Level3.net Content Delivery Network to communicate to Ormuco Data Solutions. Highlight, right-click, search Google for X, it's been explained here many times. Please look up information on the subject before posting erroneous complaints.
I came to say something similar. It's probably a link somewhere between you and the servers that is bad. It happens, a VPN can probably force your connection to take another route but that's pretty much it. I don't even think SE themselve can do something about it.This is a Google search away. I live in Longueuil which is the city south of Montréal, where the servers are hosted. Other than the bad server issues at launch I never had a 90K error.
