I started when this game became available on Steam. I tend to avoid mmorpg's at release after numerous bad experiences with other games (the only exception being Rift, which actually nailed its launch), but I figured after 6 months the game would be relatively stabilized. Yet since I started this game, server maintenance and shut downs have been happening every other day, and due to my unusual work hours, they have all managed to coincide with my off times. This is getting old REAL fast and I hope this isn't going to be a regular thing for you.

To put it bluntly, kindly get your $#!^ together or you'll lose this customer before the "free month" is over.

This is not a regular occurrence, they are gearing up for a major game update and unfortunately this has fixed and caused issues at the same time it seems.

I'm sorry, but you seem to have just had very bad luck with your windows of play coinciding directly with server down-time. It's usual for a patch to hit and be followed up the same or next day with a quick emergency maintenance.

You can expect one maintenance lasting an hour or two per week from recent experience. This obviously increases when the game is patched, as we've seen this week. Unfortunately, the down-side of regular game updates is regular maintenance and it's just kinda random as to if they affect you or not, depending on your time zone/gaming hours.

As a whole, aside from Launch week, the game has been more or less stable, with less maintenance than SWTOR or Aion or TERA during a comparable period in life-cycle. Suspect this was a maintenance to fix both the Primal Server issues and the duplicating bug that's been in the game since 2.16.

And lets not forget this isnt any diffirent from what happened weekly in the previous 3 years this game ran. Only this time around they're not adding rediculous and major game-changing things (i hope) because they wanted to be diffirent.

Maintenance for fixes i dont mind. Maintenance to screw over combat mechanics that completely do away with and replace it entire i'm not fine with :/

dont have an issue with maintenance, whether it is during my personal prime time to play or not.
no game time is that much of a priority /meh

I wish every launch was as good as the Rift launch, that game came out with loads of content, almost all the patches were hotfixes and the server didn't even come down for them, you just installed the next time you started the client. Not only that but there was hardly any lag even during giant zone invasions where you would see a retarded amount of other players. I was disappointed when Trion sold out and then laid off over half their staff including their dev lead before going free to play and becoming a shitty pay to win game.

That said, the maintenance typically isn't bad aside from mondays and occasionally tuesdays. If those are your only days to play then I would not pick this game, on the other hand it's an awesome game with lots of content planned and on the way. There's a major patch in march that will add lots of fun things to do and hopefully bring back a few of the slowly dying playerbase that's completed everything.
