2-3 second delays

Hiya,

I've been playing this game since last weekend but I've noticed an ever increasing problem with my connection. Especially since last monday, I've been experiencing ever increasing problems with the connection to the servers. Once I go into an instance, it becomes increasingly noticeable. The connection to the server seems to update to me what is happening only like every 2 to 3 seconds. I see an update as it if were, and get to know which hp went down (I play a healer), what the result was of my heal, where everyone moved etc etc. Return time from the server can vary into the 3000's. And once I've gotten out of a dungeon, the problem sticks around on the normal servers aswell.

This has been a concistent problem for the last two days especially. (Note that I only play for four days so I don't know much before that, but it wasn't as noticable).

In an attempt to see if it's server bound I've tried an european ment server and a japense one, but all show the same problems (I'm european based, but play on an american server for the RP).

I've not noticed any time-outs because of it yet, and my computer can handle this game just fine (I have maximum settings on and I still have an extremely consistent 59-60 fps as capped).

Is there any way I can fix this problem? Is it perhaps addressed in the hotfix?

This is an issue you may just have to live with...i've used Lustrate many times, seen its HP% and watched the tank die to dearh.

If you're looking for a responsive game....XIV is not a solid choice. (it's completely reliant on it, however)

..Your kidding me? I figured it was a patch problem. My connection normally is absolutely fine with games and I've played plenty of MMO's. I did look around a bit and noticed that there were some problems with the canadian servers for some (I understand the european ones are also there) but the japanese has the same problem for me. Are those also located in canada? Googling around I noticed on reddit http://www.wtfast.com/ , should I try that stuff? It would be a shame if this game turned out as unplayable for me as it is now in dungeons.

There is going to be another hot fix patch tonight during maintenance. It suppose to fix the lag issue caused by last patch.

its something that was caused by the last patch. never had issues before then

I've tried the past hours if the hotfix patches helped my problem. Initially when I logged in this afternoon after the minor patch before the emergency hotfix kicked in, I was still having some lag, but it seemed to be back to the annoying but playable levels. However eversince I logged in after the emergency one this evening, it's again at multiple seconds delay between server responses...

The lag is starting to get on my nerves too.

This is the only game in years i've ever lagged or had delays on, and ive played a hell of alot of mmo's and other games for the lag delays so far this is the worst ive ever seen. It sucks really because i love the game and FF. But my tolerance is wearing thin. Makes me wonder if itll ever get fixed because todays maintenance hasnt seem to have made a slight difference.
