Bard use bow ?!?!? I want to hit with SONG

just wondering why SE decided bard to use bow instead they can do Songs and looks more epic and different , i am sure they could do it , but was it no time to change the original idea in the old ff14 or just they have better ideas for ranger ?

This guy is the reason BRD's use bow. It's Final Fantasy history. Not exactly the best link since he's not using a bow this early, but I couldn't find anything of him later on.

He could equip every bow in the game. In fact, equipping him with a Bow/ShortBow and Iron/Brass arrows during his solo fight made the fight much easier.

ah make sense, <3 keeping the tradition , u know it will be awsome to see a guitar XD electric one shooting thunder from it , or sonic waves to make mobs diff kinda DoT debuff , something cheezy like that lol .

all in all I am happy with the current bard would love to see more stuff later levels like that

FF Type-0 was released a few years ago for PSP and only in JP, though I've heard rumours that it was going to be internationalised. It's my all time favourite FF despite not being a classic, and Deuce is one of my favourite characters. ^^

But as much as I'd love to see something like that, I think SE has already gated themselves out of it with the history of the bard (they were originally archers who found that music could tangibly increase morale; the idea of a bard being primarily a musician was the result of them embellishing their songs post-war to the point where the words lost their meaning, so they sung only for entertainment purposes).

Maybe we could see music-related attacks if they add advanced jobs.
