    Interrupt issues.

Not sure if this is BLM issue, Bug issue, PC issue or what so I put it here. So my issue is on my BLM, this doesn't happen on my BRD, if I'm not directly facing the target I have locked on to my spell interrupts. If the target is moving and I move with it'll hit them. It makes it real hard to watch for adds or if there's an enemy aoe I have to watch for. My as long as I lock on first I can spin my camera wherever and still do skills. Just wondering.

in the character configuration, tick on Face target when action is something, this will always make your character face the enemy that you target before casting, which will not make you get interrrupted.

To add on to this, this doesn't solve the issue of mobs moving while casting, so you sometimes have to mash the keybind to face a target. (F by default on keyboard) At least this is the case with the Legacy camera scheme.

It is working as intended according to the team... its annoying with BLM tho. casting gets interrupted if mob moves away from your POV.

usually i just move and recast back asap. much better then being frustrated that my cast cancel and i was like dumb found why my cast didnt go, etc. and another thing to note is your positioning.

basically i just brush this off as something that i my self have to be in a position that wont get my casting interupted. thus key word from battle is "positioning to advantage"

glad to see that this game still knacks with tactical positioning. but yea it is annoying w

having the automaticaly face the target help, but in case the target is moving and you are mid cast, just rotate your camera with the mob, stay facing the mob and your skill will go out. hold mouse2 and follow the mob with the camera.

    not for gamepad users.

and even on PC i would imagine while holding down mouse2 your character will strafe. but on PC you can just release mouse2. on PS3 or gamepads you need to change your control scheme in a menu.

and using lock-on target does not work. i have tried this on SMN in Copperbell Mines. it does not help. and assigning Face Target to something like R3 and spamming it does not work either.

only option left is to change the control scheme. which makes it more difficult to dodge some enemies AoE attacks.

either way... i am sure SE will come up with something. some kind of button combination we can use to quickly change our control scheme.

hopefully they will take an interest in this issue.

Nope. Right Click + Move causes your character to turn, not strafe. Left Click is the same except camera only.

yeah. this is really annoying. and the Face Target command does not help. i play game-pad using the PS3. and can target an enemy. and when casting a spell and they move out of my FoV. the spell does not finish. if i use Lock On it does nothing to help the spell. spamming the R3 button with Face Target does not help either.

only thing that works is to enable the other character control method in your options. the one that lets you strafe without having to rotate your camera. and just rotate your camera along with the enemy. but this can make avoiding some AoE's difficult.

i really hope SE can do something about this. lol trying to play caster damage can be a bit tricky.
