Did coil turn 1 yesterday and, forgot about AoE changes which now mean ADS repelling shot is a yellow/orange AoE on a yellow orange floor.... Oops

Much harder to see for me in that particular fight, most situations it's fine though.

But I would also like it synchronised to the cast bar... or perhaps faster pulses of the current type but a solid red expanding fill with the AoE going off when it reaches the edge. Just because it would look cool.

Two motion indicators for a trivial mechanic that should not be the focus of a player? No thanks. More graphical spam for minor aspects of a fight is simply counter-productive.

I wouldn't mind being able to change the color of the indicators if that is what people want.

One thing I appreciate about the change and would like to see stay the same is the flashing/pulsing effect. It is *much* easier to see something moving on a static surface! For one example, in Brayflox, the AoEs in the area covered by water are much much easier to notice.

I would suggest that the new indicators are annoying/distracting for a reason, so that people will notice them more! How many pugs have I been in with people standing in AoE because they are not paying attention, eating or maybe even stoned/drunk? lol Please notice, I'm not talking about lag here, as the new indicators won't help with lag, as they aren't expected to. What they were designed to help with is making people pay attention to them more.

Mission Accomplished! By all means though, if people really want them off, there could be a menu option to turn them off. However, I believe they should be *on* by default.

Considering the changes were obviously made to improve visibility I'd say I'm quiet happy with the result. Timing a pulse with the cast timer would be a half decent improvement, but it wouldn't change a single thing for how I play. There is no time to dilly dally, regardless of what the cast timer is at. I see an AoE I get the heck out instantly.

Hopefully this will make DD's and some tanks get out of King Behemoth Tornados.

    I'm guessing you're a healer or RDPS?

I like the indicators. The pulsing is good on on certain floors that are inordinately bright to begin with, so the if the color doesn't catch your eye, the movement will. The difference on a shadowflare spot is like night and day thank goodness.

And like others have said, much better for color blind folk. Which are a much higher % of males than people actually realize, I think.

As someone who is red/green colorblind, red is not 'jarring' at all to me. The red washed out to a lot of brown/grey and some oranges (T1 for example) and it made it very difficult to see. I, for one, welcome the changes completely.

That particular rooms has always been a nightmare for me (black/white colorblind). I can't accurately portray what I see to you, but the background is just sploteches of black and grey to me. It's always been a PITA to physically determine just where the AoE zones are with the movement that happens. I've always had to turn off party effects so I only see what I do and the boss. The pulsing helps me out tremendously. I don't have to pay 100% attention to the cast bar and can turn on party effects.

I'm sorry others in general don't like the change. The pulsing feature really helps me identify the AoE in many backgrounds, though.

The main thing that I hate about this new indicator is if I use my burning arrow skill and an AoE pops up where that circle is, I cannot see it at all. It is practically the same color. Pretty annoying if you ask me.
