About to hit 50 and dreading it

Not played much of MMO's before but loving this one. About to hit level 50 and I'm afraid that people are gonna be kicking me etc cos I'm not experienced in end game stuff! All I see on party finder is Exp needed etc. how am I supposed to learn like this?

Ha, those parties fail 99% of the time anyway because the people joining it are doing so because they're bad and need to be carried. You'll see the same names show up frequently.

Best to go out and make friends, really. Join a linkshell or four. If you're new to some piece of major content (first one you'll hit is Titan HM), just create a party in the party finder and others will join (many of them expressly to help out). In most dungeons, there will be someone who is willing to teach new players. If not, they'll probably be confidently blitzing through, and it'll be pretty clear what your job is along the way. Most dungeons really don't require a whole lot of explanation up front, especially for healers.

Just read up and watch vids on it fights and find a good FC that will toss you in their groups or find a few finds to help you maybe.

Find a good FC that's willing to help you get experience in end game content. Explain that you're new and need practice. They'll probably ask you to watch a walkthrough on youtube before you try it, but a good FC will work with you and help teach you what you need to know to get through the instance.

Since you're coming up on 50 it's never too late to start earning tomes, though. If you're not already working on it you probably should. Doing the beastman dailies will get you tomes.

Since you are whm you should be fine. My best advice would be to farm philo tomes to buy ilv70 gear. It truly isn't that difficult and should take about a day if you're truly devoted. That way your heals will have higher potency.

You can create your own learning groups in party finder. I'm pretty sure there are other people on your server that also still need to learn a couple of dungeons/primals.

Sort of joining an FC or linkshell this is a great idea. There are always new people needing help and what better way to have fun doing something for the first time but to find other new people?
