the party finder can be a great tool if used properly.

as someone mentioned before, making your own "Learning Group" can go along way. But you may run into long waits if the content you are trying to become familiar with is outdated (Hard Mode Primals)

another thing i see people on my server doing with the party finder is making a generic post and putting in there that they are "Looking for X group/LS/FC" (LF Casual Endgame LS)

Do your research (watch videos, read guide, learn your class/job), and try to find a FC or linkshell with like-minded people such as yourself. Do these things and you will be well on your way to learning end-game.

Ill take this advise to. Im in the same boat as OP. Funny, I've pretty much leveld all classes but blm, which will be caped in a week. I havn't even attempted ifrit HM yet. That's basically were I stoped before I decided to just level everything. I've been noticing that for months to, needing to be experience to join these groups. Even the FC I'm with all they ever wanna do is 2.1 stuff.

I've even had Dhorma Chimera on my quest log for like over 4 months now... ye I need to catch up to now.

Just do exactly what a guy did to me yesterday on Titan EX: Join groups, tell you're experienced, stay dead the entire fight but get carried by the group, receive the achievement for first win, then get blacklisted by 7 people.

But no, seriously. Don't lie. It's easy to create learning groups for content, just do that.

Honestly, just watch some videos and then make "learning" parties. You'll be surprised how many people join you because they're afraid to join "experienced" parties as well.
