What potions to use ? How do vit/str potions work as a tank?

Hello there. New tank here!

I have been trying to figure out how the mega-potions of vitality work they seem to increase your maximum hp but do not heal you for those new HP. Is this still the potion we generally use or do we use STR for the increase in mitigation / emnity. Looking for advice and thoughts. Thanks!

vit pots can be useful if you can use it pre-emptively for big hits. If your healer is reactive, you'll love the stoneskin resulting. But that's the only case where I find it useful and it brings a big CD on pots for little to no improvement imo.

str pots on the contrary can improve greatly your dps for 15 secs... I use some for dps check to ease everyone's life

the only fight i can see you using Vit pot is twintania, but then again you better off goin with str pot for damage boost to kill the snake
