Anyone tried to just spread out in titan ex and heal through the plumes?

I don't think having everybody spread out and eat a single plume and drop a medica 2 or so to heal them back a bad idea... at least from the number I am seeing, it's perfectly doable without taxing much on mana, and it saves the gamble from relying perfect performance from everybody in each attempt.

the thing is, when I pug it with PF, no matter how high the ilvl is set, or iffy check or whatever, the group can still fail easily due to 1~2 person performing badly for whatever reason
so much so that many fail group will have everyone on 4k+hp which probably allows eating 2 plumes in a row...

was just thinking whether it'd be a proper strategy

2 Plumes can hit for 5k, too much for most nontanks.

Actually that cross my mind not far back, spread and take 1 plum is easily heal and keep up with 2 healers and eating bomb isn't as bad as you think, you can eat super bomb if you time it right with cure 3 (as bomb goes off and just before titan land again, you have about 1-2 sec).

The problem will be plum interrupt your cast so you not really gaining, I tried timing cure 3 on superbomb a few time and it is not too bad, you can probably use swiftcast and bypass the timing.
The truth is dodging is probably easier....

It's cool not to agree with someone, but you don't have to talk to him like that. I've solo healed Titan EX multiple times and I feel it isn't that mana intensive when there are two healers. If you manage cooldowns correctly (SoS for WHM) you never get near half MP at any point in the fight.

Even with that being said, I don't recommend the strategy you're thinking of.

I tank/heal/dps it and pass it with the right group i.e. nobody gets killed by stacked plumes multiple times.
pug = random fail, especially in titan ex and there's nothing you can do about it.
my point is then whether it's possible to develop a semi-carry strategy that could increase the average pass rate.
