    Ul'dah, Outside Copperbell Mines -- Functionality -- Daddy Longlegs NM Spawning Point

    Frequency: 7/10

    When the player is outside the Copperbell Mines and is progressing through the "Support Our Mines" botanist guildleve, he will frequently encounter the "Daddy Longlegs" notorious monster near the logging points. This monster will attack the player as soon as the player is in range, and the player will be easily defeated.

    This is incorrect because a botanist-class player should not be forced to encounter a notorious monster in this fashion. The player cannot finish his guildleve with this monster in the area, and this is very frustrating.

    Please fix this issue by moving the location of the Daddy Longlegs notorious monster so that it does not interfere with the "Support Out Mines" guildleve.

    NOTE: The frequency of this issue is "7/10" because the location of the notorious monster varies; it is not always near the logging points.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1) Start the game through the installer build.
    2) Acquire the "Support Our Mines" guildleve, then proceed to Nophica's Wells aetherial gate:
    //t glget _____
    //dev set <me> warp
    3) Start the guildleve, proceed to the area outside of Copperbell Mines where the logging points are indicated, then observe the proximity of the Daddy Longlegs notorious monster.
    4) Observe that the Daddy Longlegs notorious monster will often wander near the logging points that the player is using, and that the player will not be able to complete his guildleve after being attacked.

    They were supposed to already be working on moving gathering from agro range but i also have experienced this problem of agro during gathering with nothing to do about it but change class and hope for the best.

    Oh, I would hope this has been reported internally a long time ago. But I want it written up just in case it hasn't. Because it's clearly nonsense. They just threw this NM in here (as well as in other locations that I'm not as familiar with) without giving any thought to the other potential activities that already occur in the area.

    There's not even a good reason for this to aggro on the player like it does. I mean, you could make up an in-world reason, but that shouldn't take precedence over player enjoyment. And if you're a botanist, believe me, you're pissed when this thing kills you.

    Heh that would be annoying, I also hear that PoP's area is right in the big middle of one of the leve areas in Mun tay.

    Hate to sound negative but both of these are cases of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Perhaps in the future the guy/gal in charge of injecting nm's into the world could take a jog over to who ever is handling the leves and pick there brain a bit.

    Elder Mosshorn is a bit of a jerk, too. When doing leves at Nophica, he often likes to stand directly in front of the entrance to the cavern where most of the leves take place.

    They really should give players immunity to aggro from regular mobs while doing a leve/behest

    Just think of it as "Challenging Content", that seems to be a major complaint on here.

    Just echoing the sentiment this is incredibly annoying. Have had this problem a fair few times now, and even when you run and de-agro him, the path is so slim when you try to run back you will just agro him again. Please fix this!
