PLD and aoe hate.

Somehow, they lose hate on spiders in phase 1 and 4. To me it doesn't seem difficult to hold them. However every other attempt the blm or whm gets nommed in the middle of the phase. What are they doing wrong? How does pld keep aoe hate without overpower?

It doesn't seem difficult to you because you're a WAR, and we happen to be blessed with the amazing AoE enmity tools Overpower and Steel Cyclone.

As to the PLDs, as long as they're spamming Flash, they're doing their jobs correctly. I expect, actually, that it's a problem with your BLM/WHMs not knowing how to throttle their enmity generation (I can only imagine that those WHMs rip aggro by either overhealing or spamming Holy) since both of them are able to generate enough enmity to easily rip off of a PLD if they're not paying attention (I've actually had a BLM rip a couple targets off of me as a WAR when I was doing AoE aggro while throttling my TP consumption when he got some crits), especially if the BLM is blowing CDs and dropping Flares.

I'm actually surprised that your group isn't having you tank the spiders in t4 since the insane AoE enmity generation of a WAR allows for the DPS to let it rip without having to worry about enmity. The slight loss of DPS from the WAR being in Defiance is *more* than made up by the DPS being able to go full throttle.

I could be totally wrong but I think he was saying when they go on alternate jobs.
