    PS3 to PC

I want to play the game on both my ps3 and pc. i have been playing the ps3 version since september and thats the only version i have. ive seen the link to upgrade to the digital collectors edition and wonder if this is how/where i can get the pc download for ffxiv. if i upgrade to this version will the game DL onto my pc and will i be able to play the game on both platforms (ps3 and pc) still?

If you already have PS3 game license, go into your Mogstations, and add Windows platform. You may be able to get Windows CE platform too. Once added to the (current/existing) Service Account, you can log in either PS3 or PC anytime, but not both simultaneously.

it says i have to purchase windows version, my code from the ps3 version doesnt work. my main question is if i upgrade to the "collectors edition digital download" is this giving me the windows version? it says on the mog station i can upgrade for 19.99 but if all i get is the online reward and not the windows version, then i dont want to spend the money.

Otherwise, find a local retail store, and lastly, you can try Steam - which will provide you a registration key, that maybe-could-be used in Mogstations "Add Windows platform" - however, be aware though, there's a huge confusion with Steam version and purchasing and using existing Service Account etc... Personally, I see less and less interest with Steam version now that I'm already up and going with what I have, I won't miss not having Steam Overlay TBH.

I think you'd have to buy a new key to use your account on a PC. Upgrading a PS3 standard edition to PS3 CE won't let you play on the PC. Though, i'm not sure if buying a Windows CE on steam (or i think gamestop if it's still on sale) and adding it to your account will flag your account for Windows, as well as the CE goodies since it would be account wide.

Probably best to dig a bit more on this before purchasing either or.
