Screen flashes red under hud

I have had this happen multiple times in Labyrinth of the ancients. Sometimes it's half the screen and sometimes it's bars.

Try updating your graphics drivers.

Also, I suggest including information about your system since this appears to be a hardware issue and it will help them if they know what your system is. If you type /systeminfo in game it will output a file with your configuration and system specs including graphics card information. The file is located in your FFXIV: A Realm Reborn folder, and is named "Game_Info_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" where the x's are the date and time it was created. Just cut and paste out the section called "System Information" into your report!

My logic was that it was the game because the red shows up under the hud and only occurs in Labyrinth of the Ancients, but I guess I'll look into graphics drivers and stuff in case that is the issue.
