Is there a I don't specifically care how sp is gained as long as its fun and i have the option of having friends participate with me option yet? If there is that's got my vote.

Lol, it would fall under any of the ways posted, whatever makes your panties fit ;O
lol those fanbois are very scary, but that's why we have repellent for that! haha.
but yeah, using the good ideas from past MMOs that have worked is a very good idea, it opens up variety, and that's what people want, it isn't repeating the same stuff over and over, you can do something more than one thing each time.
Like, i might want to take one job to 50 with mob grinding, then, the next one I might want to do quest grinding, it spices things up, very well.

Not conceptual. Such as I want a job where everyone loves me without pressure, or difficulty, and is impossible to be held accountable or can be demoted. Oh and a good paycheck would be nice too.
Even friends are people and even fun has requirements. Well unless you have imaginary friends...
Unless SE wants to hire some hotshot social psychologist...afraid we have to work within the bounds of bland-ism with a spice of creativity.
So just a thought toward implementation. It seems many of us in this thread actually enjoy mob grinding to some extent. Several of us have also expressed our desire to have some variety in how we obtain SP because it helps to keep things interesting.
So in addition to making a substantial decrease in bonus SP from leve-link I would love to see a nice increase to the bonus SP granted for simply having another party member within the correct level range. Do you think that would be a good first step toward promoting XI style grind parties?
The quest hubs may actually go a long way to making mob/grind parties more enjoyable especially if they are located in some of the more remote reaches of the maps. I personally would really like a shop npc at these hubs so it was convenient to sell off some of the trash that accumulates during grinding. I don't know about the rest of you but after a few hours of grinding raptors or efts my inventory is often completely full.![]()

Well, having vendor NPCs in more locations would be awesome, I hate having to go to a main city or camp Dragonhead to vendor a crapload of stuff lol.So just a thought toward implementation. I'm always awesome ;P
no there isnt, but when you take certain aspects that were criticized by the world over and try to revamp them then i think you have a problem. FFXI was criticized largely for its UI: the macro system, the lack of an action bar, the amount of menues, the lack of keyboard customization... these are all things they thought they did well but so many people from professional developers to "career" hardcore gamers hated. it was only the vast minority that were able to tolerate or even enjoy certain things about FFXI while other games did things in such a more streamlined manner.
except character aesthitc, many games dissapoint me largely in the area. SE has some of the best looking MMO characters ive seen.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
Keep the ideas floating! Even if it's about rewards for certain things while you exp i9t up even are welcome, I mean, I came up with he idea of a ISP based system, well, not entirely my idea, but still. I keep adding to the OP with the ideas that you all have been giving.
[QUOTE=Gath;202701]Okay, as stated in the latest LftP, we will no longer use leves as a main focus of leveling or a main focus in the game at all, except for casual players (But who cares about them?)
booo just boo
What ever happened to hamlet defense?
Did SE give up on that
