    The OP asked for MORE open world content. Why is it as soon as someone brings up open world content people try and shove FATEs down our throat? Yes we all know FATEs are open world content, but they're meaningless spam-fests, we want other things do to such as open world dungeons to explore with treasure chests in, none FATE NM's with rare drops and side grade equipment to the dungeons etc.

    Also on the subject of open world content, what ever happened to the open world primals they promised us? There was even footage of it in the bench mark! I remember them saying whoever killed the primal would be the only FC on that server to be able to summon it in battle and once they had used it; it would return to the open world for others to kill.

    I'm interested in more open world content as long as there aren't any claim wars. Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass on the billions of claim bots from ffxi.

    Personally I'm also not akin to fates, really wouldn't mind some content where you farm items from harder/non-soloable monsters to pop hard bosses. I think that we need open world alliances first though before they can add open world content I'm really interested in.

    im up for anything atm , because we really need more content that is fun engaging and make ppl dont stand in mor dhona bored until PF is filled or queue pops

    More open world content would be great. I also wish fates were more meaningful, though. At first they were great, but they're so frequent it just cheapens things. I'd rather see them pop up much more rarely, last longer, and give more substantial rewards. Make them a treat, not just a grinding tool.

    FATEs are just one thing. Variety is good.

    I like that hamlet defense thing the OP described; I have to wonder why they scrapped it going into 2.0.

Artifact hunting is another biggy, especially with the new profession out, but people still also love completing collections; if you use Quantum/Omen sight (a special ability you can unlock by purchasing it with planarite once you hit 50), you can see special artifacts, as well as the entrances for the game's 10 man content, Slivers. The whole open world is littered with puzzles tucked away in mountains, or atop buildings, or in valleys, or whathaveyou, many of which give achievements or other rewards upon solving. Then there are those standard things such as rare mobs and material gathering. There are plenty of dailies and weeklies as well, if that's you're cup of tea.

    FFXIV has... gathering, FATEs, dailies and... what? This game just needs more.

    I really feel that being that attached to this issue is either going to leave you eternally disappointed and making threads forever or make you quit and give 1.0 a proper burial.

    There's really no indication that things like open-world dungeons are ever going to come back, and we all know how yoshida feels about 1.0. We've seen his compromises (treasure hunts, fates) and any future content will probably be expansions of those concepts.
