[PS3] Anyone having trouble with thormarch after patch 2.16?

We’ve confirmed a bug post-patch 2.16 where the client’s processes are lagging noticeably in certain content. We are currently working quickly to address this and we apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm on PS3 too and have experienced terrible load times on other content. Just yesterday when i got disconnected inside Turn 5 of the Binding Coil, load times from being raised or just returning to the starting point after death began to take some time. I tried to reboot my system and relog but it was no good. However, going out of the instance and re-entering solved my problem.

i got a huge lag at acheron in CT & whenever i repair my equipment then exit i cant move for 10 seconds & when i dismount my chocobo i float in the air for 10 seconds on ps3.

hello! first of all...

are the people with issues using an HDD(Hard-disk Drive)?
are the people WITHOUT issues using an SSD(Solid-state Drive)?

i just upgraded my PS3 to an SSD a few days ago. and have had an awesome time. i don't get any of the issues as described in this thread. (except last night server was having issues. which caused thousands of people to drop.) and the game performs like 5x faster. (excluding things like low frame-rates. of course an SSD won't help your FPS. RENDERING FPS that is.)

as for the character thing getting stuck after dismounting or interacting with an NPC. i used to have that issue. but i haven't had it happen once since installing the SSD.

and the AoE markers... this change has zero impact on performance. not SSD related. i refer to the appearance change. but on the SSD note... i have never once noticed a delay in AoE attacks since putting it in. and now can never blame missing an AoE because of it.


in any case. everyone. it would be good to let Camate know if you are using an SSD or not. any additional information or feedback will help pin-point the problem quicker. what i am trying to say is that the issue may be how the files are being loaded. maybe something is choking file transfer.

Hard disk is irrelevant. I'm on SSD and after patch certain bosses had weird behaviours (getting hit by attacks at titan before animations even appear, titan himself occasionally disappearing..) similar stuff at Acheron happened to my friend.

Yeah, running ssd also and still getting those issues. Game proper is fine, instance lags.

well it was just a thought. cause out at Mor Dhona. over there at the st. field place off to the east a ways. i would dismount at the NPC for the CT quest-line. and every time i would get hung in the air. but after installing the SSD it never happened again. and i tried to get it to happen several times. so i thought maybe it had something to do with disk access.

in any case SE fixed it. so kudos to SE. and kudos to anyone not ignorant enough to keep quiet.
