It won't be discarded. At least not anytime soon. They are remaking leves to essentially be a solo-play oriented content instead of it being the center of the game. Leves are going to be a lot less important than they are now, but they are not going to be discarded.

I think Nordya and Payadopa are referring to the 36 hour leve refresh timer.
