They are shifting to the new age of MMO progression which is focused more on the content than the leveling (like GW2 is doing): sideways character progression as opposed to upwards leveling progression.
15k would up the sp per leve, easily
i can see a 5k sp bonus at the end of a leve making it more like how they are now(i can see this number being pretty fair and accurate if they scale leves by rank, since there are currently 5 tiers)

they are rewarding completion with this is all it is, they arent "nerfing leves" after all
of course in the end, itl probly be a huge bonus to some of the lesser leves which sucked for sp beforehand

that all depends on what the new XP looks like with leves. Neither you, nor I, nor anyone knows what its going to be. If Dunesfolk for Dinner gives 5,000 XP solo now and the bonus is 5,000 XP - it still wont be as much XP as people were getting when failing. All speculation at this point.

dunesfolk gives roughly 15-20k average right now, with a 4 man party, all linked up with aspect

you get 150 sp for the aspect
    250 sp per link
(i think this is the numbers it was, cant remember for sure)

you get 300 sp base for the mobs

before you would average 16 mobs total per leve or so. that ended up being around 20k sp
so with no links, and no aspect, right now, you get close to 5k sp

linking isnt being removed, aspect isnt being changed at all
so add back in 2k sp for aspect, you still get 7k before linking

now even assuming they put a 50% hit to sp for links, you STILL will get 125 more sp per kill per link, thats roughly 2k more sp per link, rounding out around 5-6k more sp

so you end up with 12-13k sp, if its a 50% nerf(and i dont think it will be, i think itl be close to 25%)

so a 15k sp bonus isnt needed to "even it out" closer to a 5-6k sp bonus, on dunesfolk will do the trick

and of course, on most other leves, this isnt even close to the case, even a 5k bonus will boost you past what the current sp gains are in those

add in the removal of fatigue now....(yes thatl add up too)

but lets go with 5k sp, 8 leves, thats 40k BASE sp before you count mob kills, so sp wont be much different then it is now with that number, and i see it being around there(possibly 4k sp for 40s, i can see it being that low at most)
